Use ½” or 3/8” hex key bit & wrench to remove the RHS engine bolt,as arrowed in picture

Slide the carsh protector,and begin to tighten th bolt as shown in picture,then fit the crash protector cap into crash protector

First day of riding after the winter conditions have gone. After I made a turn and straightened out I gave a bit of throttle on my FZ 09 and rear tire lost traction on some sand on the road. When it gained traction it was wound up and the torque bucked me side to side until the bike knocked me over and fell on me. Luckily I had these sliders installed and the left side slider and foot peg took the brunt of the impact. It probably kept my my ankle from shattering and limited the damage to my bike. The only damage was a broken foot peg, bent clutch lever, scuffed up handle bar end, bend slider and unfortunately a couple of dents in my fuel tank. I am very impressed at how well these slider limited my injuries and damage to my bike. I just ordered a new set to replace the broken one. I strongly recommend these sliders! Don’t forget to wear all your riding gear!
