Fun to build, works well I was able to tune it using a tuner. Only drawback for me I found the Shipping & Handling:$42.99 was expensive to Canada 1/3 the price of the guitar.

Arrived with a broken cigar box clasp. Emailed and called seller who finally got back and said that the box is used and often broken when received which lends itself to the "DIY" aspect of this kit and that I should fix it. He added that I could also 9go get a replacement box at a local brick & mortar cigar shop and that he "might" provide a partial refund. Given kit price, this is unnacceptable to me!

Well made with detailed and easy to follow instructions . I have also purchased the single coil p/u from the same vendor, installing both (piezo and electric).All said, a great kit you can build as is or elaborate on.

This kit was fantastic. It included all the important things you needed. The directions were very easy to follow. All put together, it took about 3 hours (using all hand tools. I'm sure it would be much quicker with a table saw dado blade set). I took one star off only due to the box provided was a little bigger than the directions refer to. If your box is too big, you will not be able to follow the measurements of the neck instructions very closely and will have to wing it. Over all, amazing project and easy, detailed instructions with informative pictures. Sounds awesome and the little details like the corner protectors make it look pro!

The Cigar box that came with this kit was too long for the neck that came with it. Lucky for me I had a shorter one and it was no big deal to use it instead. Now I will get the other style neck and make #2 with an adjustable Humbucker pick-up.
