Quick and easy replacement, gets you tight distributor bushings, good threads, screws and new advance weights. Comes with cheap points mine came missing adjusted. The condenser lasted 45min of running.Ran perfect for years after installing quality points. I would buy again

I got this because of the one day shipping ordered it in the morning, had it that evening. Easy install and the old 2n fired right up. Unfortunately it didn't last very long. Used the tractor maybe 4 times and just quit. Never got inside it to see what failed. It was still under warranty and got it returned. Overall a decent experience.

I was worried about how well this would work, as I've had issues with other cheap, aftermarket parts for these Ford N-series (mainly carburetors).I was therefore pleasantly surprised with how well this works, and what an improvement it made. Having tight bushings with no slop makes a big difference on how these front-mount distributors perform. This runs much better than the original distributor. with worn/sloppy bushingsI've heard that some of the condensers don't last long on these aftermarket distributors, but so far so good with this one. I fully expect to have to swap condensers shortly, but not a big deal.As with all new distributor caps for these ford front mount distributors, you have to be careful as some coils don't have their high-voltage connecting tab long enough to make decent contact with the small stick-out on the cap. Takes some fiddling and careful bending to get it seated correctly such that it works well.Only complaint: there were only marginal traces of grease on the new bushings. Definitely worth carefully adding a little more high-quality grease to these prior to install.

It's crazy that I can order up new parts for my 80 year tractor cum lawnmower but it makes these old tractors a stylish bargain. It turns out that I didn't need this fully built distributor (It was the coil) but this was a drop-in unit. I checked the points gap before installing & it was already correctly set. It is not an exact replacement. The casting is a little rough, the points & coil are a little different (but will still interchange) & the hardware is different. I think the aftermarket coils that are available here & at Tractor Supply fit this distributor better than the original.

One of the better replacement parts for my 8n . A lot of the replacement parts are very disappointing but this was high quality and worth everything I paid . My old distributor was beat.
