Your cart is empty.This contactor is a heavy duty enclosed replacement for all Amana, Goodman, and Janitrol single pole contactors rated at 25 Amps or 30 Amps which have 24 volt coils. This contactor is rated at 32 Amps and has a 24 Volt coil. This contactor has a heavy lug screw terminal and 4 male quick connect ¼” terminals on each line voltage connection to provide maximum wiring flexibility. The two terminals for the low voltage coil each have double ¼” male quick connects. The contact mechanism is enclosed to keep out insects and debris, but the visible plunger provides positive verification that the contacts are pulled in. The mounting base measures 2-5/16” X 1-15/16” with four oblong mounting holes 1-5/8” x 1-5/8” on center. There are also four slots in the base to provide many mounting options. This part replaces Amana Goodman Janitrol part numbers CONT1P025024VS, CONT1P030024VS, B13603-21, B1360321, B13603-24, B13707-04, B1370704, C6170004, and C6170006. This part is covered by the exclusive Protactor two year limited replacement policy. This contactor does its job, and is easy to install. However, it does not list the torque specs. Because the lugs are screwed into the busbar, they will start rotating when tightened correctly.The lugs are screwed into the busbar instead of claping the busbar. This introduces an extra connection, and unnecessary point of failure.the lugs get in the way of unclipping the contactor cover. It is thus impractical to remove the cover and inspect the contacts -- the ligs would have to be removed.

I first must say a giant THANK YOU to my independent HVAC service man. When he did my annual service/tune-up he told me the contactor/relay had pitted contacts and would need to be replaced soon before it failed. He knew I have some mechanical and electrical skills so he asked me if I felt comfortable replacing it myself.This is the exact same part he would have used and I would have ended up paying around $200 for the service call.
