The pieces are nice if you need them in separate pieces to do a quick repair or upgrade and have everything else.
If you are trying to build out a system, it is not worth it. They do not sell the actual handrails, so you would have to hope and pray that one of the other systems on here fit.Too many parts and no real direction as to what works with what. You kind of have to wing it or pray for the best case scenario.
Once you price out all of the pieces, plus labor and extra materials, it's almost better to just hire someone to weld a staircase for you with guaranteed workmanship.Also, if you decide to return, make sure you do it within the time frame or there is a 20% restocking fee and you have to pay for the shipping which is not refundable.

Installed fairly simply. You will want to buy a metal grinding tool to cut them to size and a drill bit for metal to make new screw hole. I alternated one straight baluster and then one with the rectangle

I replaced my old, golden oak, turned spindles on my 90’s era stairway with these and changed the look of the entire room. I’m thrilled with the results. Very easy to cut to length with an angle iron. All were perfectly uniform and without any scratches or flaws. It was a fun project as well, and very feasible for a DIYer provided you measure everything and check for plumb and alignment obsessively. I would guess it would have cost a fortune to hire this out. The hidden benefit of these, which I didn’t even consider in advance. Is that due to their width they save you money by eliminating the total number of spindles needed. I bought the angled shoes as well and those were perfect also.

I'm very happy with my purchase of these balusters. I ordered the wrong shoes with them so I called Modern and it was too late for them to cancel the order but they replaced the shoes with the right ones.
