Only just got into metal detecting and haven't owned another scoop to compare this to but no complaints. Was able to fit the handle from my snow shovel on to it no problem and use it right away. Haven't been in dry sand with it yet so I don't know if the smaller holes in the centre will help or hinder. It has definitely sped up retrieving targets for me and is well made.

I looked all over the internet for an attachment for a pole to scoop mud out of my 4 ft deep concrete water tank. This was the closest thing I could find. Got it today and found I could attach it to the inside pole of my aluminum telescoping pool pole that I use for getting leaves out of my pool with a net. Just needed to mark and drill a couple holes in the end of the inner pole, and then use a small bolt through the pole and the scoop’s holes to secure it. I just removed a couple hundred pounds of wet mud from the bottom of my water tank. Was the perfect size - not too heavy full of mud so as to stress my back. Turned out to be the perfect tool!

I looked at several sand scoops for metal detecting. They were either to small or to big. I looked at what cooB had to offer. I found the right size scoop i wanted, well put together and quality, FANTASTIC . Besides, i noticed that it was made in Ukraine and beleaving in thier fight for freedom, i chose to help in some small way.

I have not used it yet because the beach is covered with snow and frozen, but I inspected the quality of the material and the welds and this look like a very sturdy tool for a great price. I took apart and old Garant snow shovel that cost me $15. 5 yrs ago and used the shaft, handle and screws to mount the scoop. It is a plastic coated wooden handle. Very happy with my purchase and as an added bonus it is made in UKRAINE.

This model is great. Have been using this model on stoney /sandy beach.Very easy to handle as not to big a mouth as some scoops to much to handle .Only concern is that I would have liked to purchase Sku 010028 to ģo with it ,but not available in UK.I have been using a wooden shaft with a plastic handle it works but does not look quite right.

So my CooB sand scoop came into today, and I am very impressed with the quality. I bought the MONSTRIK V1. Looking at the sizes, I think this offered the most bang for the buck. I did not want an overly large scoop, but I did not want a small scoop either. I was a bit concerned by the few reviews I saw about quality, but the quality on this piece is outstanding. The welds are clean and well blended and there is no signs of any cracking. I can see this scoop lasting for a very long time. The thickness is good and while it does have some weight it is not overly heavy. You should be able to sift quite a bit of sand, wet or dry, through this scoop. I could even see using this in a lake or river.I mounted mine on a wood handle and it works good. I plan on trimming down the handle some to better fit my grasp and reach. But overall I would say that for the money you can not go wrong with this scoop. So if you’re in doubt about this scoop or another scoop and they are approximately the same price, go with the CooB, you will not be disappointed.

The Monstrik v1 is a well made mid-size stainless steel scoop. It has everything I look for in a sand scoop. Welds are clean and sanded and no errant welds in pole/handle opening. Scoop is heavy duty for its size. Scoop Weighs 1lb.-11.5 oz. The Monstrik v1 is lighter than the larger scoops.Opening for handle is approximately 1-3/16” ID. You will need a size 8 x 1” stainless steel pan head sheet metal screw for fastening the handle. Scoop lip is very sharp so be careful. Perfect sand scoop.
