Extend the life of the lamp
1：Use ECO mode to reduce lamp consumption.
2：Do not exceed 4 hours each time.
3：Each use lasts at least 3 minutes.
4：Do not disconnect the power supply during use.
5：After shutting down, wait at least 60 minutes or the projector has cooled down before restarting.
6：After shutting down, make sure that the cooling fan stops before disconnecting the power plug.
7：Regularly clean the dust inside the projector and around the lamp, and replace the filter.
Bulb life test
We have a team that specializes in testing the service life of bulbs. Engineers will test the bulbs in different series and different environments. At the same time of testing, we will collect the data generated when the bulb is working, and update the bulb technology based on these data.
Brightness test
We implement a unique policy for the brightness of the bulb, the brightness index difference of each bulb is within 4% to ensure the consistency of the brightness of each bulb.
Color temperature test
We ensure that the consistency of the color temperature index of each bulb reaches 100%. and the color temperature remains unchanged within 3000 hours, the color temperature difference within 5000 hours does not exceed 2%.
Technology Application
We share light source technologies in different fields. for example, we apply the light and shadow technology of 3D architectural projection to projector bulbs and stage lighting.

UPDATE: Changed from 1 star to 4 stars --- Received a refund and the offer to replace the original bulb from their customer service so they are trying as they reached out to me... ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very disappointed in this product, says it'll last 3000 hours but for us we purchase in early April and it died last night - our projector setting says only 200 hours!

The performance on this product is awesome, installation is easy but, the lamps keep burning out within 30 days of installation. Yesterday evening while watching Houseof Dragons the projector began making a "clink" sound and then shut off. This is my second bulb since April 16th. I do not recommend.

While the lamp arrived on time for my Sony projector. Once installed there was no light and the projector indicated a faulty bulb (flashing red light). COOBAN sent a replacement for free after I returned the faulty bulb. The replacement is working well and will update the rating depending on how long the bulb lasts. Seems they have a QC problem as others have reported a defective bulb.

I found this bulb to be disappointing. I previously ordered from a different seller - that bulb exploded and got sent back. This was my second attempt. The bulb came on time. It's been in the projector for a couple days now, but is very dim. It would be equivalent to a bulb that is at the half life point. You can watch the projector TV but there is insufficient brightness. I expected more from a new bulb. I would not order this bulb again. Additional review: After the submission of this initial review, the seller reached out to me. They offered to refund my money for the dim bulb and also send me a replacement free of charge. I promptly received the second bulb and the refund for the initial purchase. Upon installation, the second bulb is remarkably brighter and more in line with what one would expect with a new projector bulb. I can now say I would recommend purchasing with this seller because they are willing to stand by the product they sell. That level of customer service is hard to beat in today's market and is much appreciated. Hopefully the bulb will continue to function for the normal life expectancy of a projector lamp. UPDATE: The second bulb was installed in my projector on 2-13-24. It stopped working on 6-27-24. I will be contacting the seller to remedy the situation as this bulb is still under warranty. I revert back to my lower rating and I am not sure whether I recommend this bulb / seller. While customer service was good before, who wants the hassle of dealing with bad bulbs every few months? I will report back.... Update: The seller once again gave good customer service. I let them know the bulb stopped working during the warranty period. After answering a few questions, they sent me another bulb. The bulb has been in service now since July 10th (today is August 27) and is so far providing a bright, clear picture on my projector. I am hoping for a longer life with this 3rd bulb and appreciate the continued customer service the seller has provided. FINAL UPDATE: I do not recommend this bulb. The third bulb exploded on October 7, 2024. We were watching TV when we heard a pop and the projector shut off. Clearly, the product offered by this seller is Sub-Par. We have been through 3 bulbs now and none of them have performed as a bulb should. I am done dealing with this problem and will look elsewhere for a replacement lamp for my projector. Based on my experience, this product is not good and does not have longevity. Not worth the hassle.

I have the Sony VPL-HW45ES projector with a working factory bulb with 4000+ hours seems to be diming a bit so I bought this Lamp with the good review it had. I tried to install the bulb but it just would not mount into the projector properly I messed with the bulb mounting it in 5 different times but the lamp would not come on. I finally replaced it with the old factory unit it clicked into place and the lamp turned on. Returning the Lamp Assembly.

Today (10/13), the bulb popped. Orded it on 7/24/2024. It lasted only about 2.6 months.UPDATE (10/17), Cooban refunded the cost of the first bulb and sent me a new bulb. If possible, I’d give their customer service all five (5) stars; however, while we await observing the longevity of the new bulb, for now, their excellent customer service has earned them an additional star.

I was expecting this lamp to be crap because it was sooo cheap. I think it is about half of what the OEM Sony lamp is. But I got it and installed it anyway.Wow I was impressed with how go it is. I had to do some calibrating, but that is true whenever you install a new lamp or even touch your projector.I'm no AV guy but I was able to get it dialed in and am super happy with the brightness and clarity of my Sony projector after my lamp replacement.Granted I didn't get a OEM Sony lamp to do a side by side comparison but I am still happy with my purchase and will by this again the next time I need a new Lamp.

The brightness of this projector bulb is better than the one that it came with. The quality of the picture is looks as if I'm watching from a TV. You're getting the best value for your money.

I ordered one of these bulbs, and couldn't get it to turn on once installed. The old bulb worked, though very dim, but that proved the projector was okay. I was getting an error with this new bulb that there was no bulb installed, even though I had tightened the screws and cover. I assumed it was the bulb, so I returned it, and ordered a different brand. I received a refund, but they sent me a replacement anyway, which was totally unexpected.In hindsight, I believe this was my error, because even the different brand bulb was hard to get seated into the housing correctly. I am confident the new COOBAN replacement will work, though I don't plan to swap it until the current one dies.
