This was a BIG HIT with the play date our daughter had with a few of her friends. It is very easy to use, and safe to use. It is small though so only about 3-4 kids could use it simultaneously - so they had to be patient. The only caution I would have is to not let the marshmallow touch the aluminum grill top - it's messy to clean up. But if the kids are patient, it browns the marshmallow perfectly.

So much fun without needing to start a fire. This product works great. It is not too big (yet it is one or two sticks at a time) so it is easy to store and didn’t disrupt the cabinets too much. It didn’t produce heat to make me too concerned to let kids use it. It heated quick enough so the excitement didn’t diminish. The trays fit together well and all of it cleaned up. Overall - performs as described and created a lot of smiles.

Never mind hanging out in the Great Outdoors where the outhouses smell awful and wild animals might tear you apart. Here's a handy smore's maker you can utilized in the safety and comfort of your own home. Works efficiently and the smore's taste great.

The Cooks with Color S'more maker is a small electric burner coil. It heats up, provides heat to soften the marshmallow, then you can scrape the melty marshmallow onto your graham cracker. I've tried it a few times with the same results every time. The marshmallows heat, which causes them to soften and expand. After four or five minutes they are soft and hot enough to squish onto the graham cracker over the slice of milk chocolate candy.Setup for the cooker itself is simple, remove the twist-tie and pull out the cord. The four-part plastic tray is more of a problem. The sections interlock but the locking pieces were not straight and the entire tray was just a bit warped. Eventually I was able to assemble the tray by breaking out a small section of be bent edge on one tray. Be careful that the cooker is centered on the tray, and that the tray is somewhere it won't get bumped. There is nothing really to hold the cooker in place and the tray doesn't have any provision for the power cord. The cooker will eventually get hot enough to make an adequate s'more. I preheated for 10 minutes before starting, and it still took 4-5 minutes per smore. The virtue is that it does this without flame, so it can be used indoors. Sadly, it does not get hot enough to brown and caramelize the sugars on the outside of the marshmallows. That means it is not that helpful for truly delicious s'mores. It's possible to make the same quality of s'more as this cooker produces with 15-20 seconds in a microwave oven. If you like the occasional toasted marshmallow this will not do it.I was able to get a bit of browning by touching a marshmallow on the cooking surface very briefly after it had been cooking a while, then smothering the tiny flame with my thumb (leaving a bit of hot marshmallow on my thumb, and a tiny blister). I don't recommend that as a cooking technique. Sadly, I think this S'more maker is underpowered at the stated 300 Watts. As you can see from the photos, it will soften and warm a marshmallow adequately, but as you can also see, without touching to the burner the marshmallows don't brown before they are so soft that they are falling off the skewer.I'm being generous to give this product 3 stars. In fairness, it will make a s'more but you could do the same with 20 seconds in the microwave. This s'more maker is less expensive than others shown on Amazon. It might be a case of getting what you pay for.

+ easy to use- seems to take a long time to heat up+ comes with 2 forks for roasting, and a tray.- no place to set the roasting forks, other than in the tray.On / off switch on the side, the tray snaps together from four pieces and can be used with the heater in the middle of separately. It did get hot enough for me, but took a long time to warm up and it isn't easy to use just for a moment to heat a couple smores.

I picked this up for my kids and they enjoyed the casual activity of making s’mores, now indoors. It does what it says, it will heat you marshmallows so that you can build a s’more from it. More specifically, you plug in the device, turn it on and then wait for it to heat up. The heat up process will take about 10 minutes. You will know you are amount ready when the coil is glowing. To my surprise, this doesn’t pull a lot of energy (I’m a bit too energy obsessed). The time to actually heat the marshmallow to the right softness is about 5 minutes. It will not caramelize unless you are hovering within about an inch of the grate surface and you need to be persistent. You can burn it so be sure to rotate, my wife discovered this truth the hard way. We will continue to regularly use the device.
