Advertised as pocket thermometer up to 220 degrees. What I got was labeled only up to 125 degrees, which makes it WORTHLESS for testing meat, the main reason cooks use this type of thermometer. In addition, this came shipped in an envelope from some other kind of company, NOT a cooking supply company, as you would expect, and the envelope and paperwork leads me to believe someone is taking advantage of their employer to mail product to online customers. Finally, when I tried using it, it took forever to register and the temp read 90, not the 160 that another pocket thermometer read. if only I had used it earlier, I would have discovered all this in time to make a more timely complaint. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

As a culinary student, cook, professional chef or if you're a foodie, this thermometer is a standard necessity in temping all hot and cold foods. Adjustable and accurate as long as you calibrate it regularly.

This listing describes a Case of 72 thermometers. Even the pricing suggests you are buying a case by listing $600 and 99% savings. This is wrong. You are buying one single thermometer. Come on, Amazon.... you're better than that! I emailed ShopAtDean and they said it is a UPC conflict with Amazon.The thermometer itself is the basic. Works great. The sheath provides the right tension so you can pull the therm out without pulling the sheath out of your pocket.
