Storage Mode
The blade is closed as factory setting to avoid accidents. Double click the trigger to activate the shearing mode. When you not using the prunner, you can press and hold the trigger for about 10seconds untill you heard 4 beeps.
1/2In Mode for Small Braches
We can changes the Max cutting size mode and 1/2 inch cutting mode between by pressing and hold the trigger for over 5 seconds after 3 beeps appears.
1.2In Max Cutting Mode
The prunner will be in the Max cutting Mode once you have turned it on as defualt setting. If need to cut thinner branches, we can change the 1/2 inch cutting mode by pressing and hold the trigger for over 5 seconds untill you heard 3 beeps

I didn't expect this tool to work as good as it does. I was pleasantly surprised. The pole isn't too long, but long enough to reach limbs about 12-13' off the ground with use of a latter. Power is pretty good, cut limbs with 1" in diameter before it's overwhelmed. Battery lasts pretty long for such a small battery. Only oddity is how it powers up, you have to turn it on/off a couple times before it engages. Then it automatically powers off if not used for about 2 minutes. Other than that it works well.

PROS: Provides fast clean cutting of branches and brush, extension handle provides a reasonable extension reach (about 5 feet long total) considering overall device weight, sharp blade, includes extra blade, wrenches, 2 batteries, charger (can charge 2 batteries at once if need be), small bottle of lube, and a decent carry/storage case. CONS: Very hard to initially get batteries to twist and lock into place and then to remove them, works easier after initial install though, locking tab doesn't always align or go into slot completely, (but, battery stays locked in fine) cutting width is limited to about 5/8 of an inch max, stalls out on wet oak branches, power switch and trigger functions are hard to get working, but, work fine once you get the hang of them. (Hint: Power. Botton must be held 2-3 second to turn on or off, once on, trigger must be pulled twice real fast, or it won't turn on, holding the trigger in for a long time will get it to close and stay closed for storage/transport). May be a bit heavy for some with all day use especially if extension is added. Overall good value for a fast cut trimmer that makes short order out of small branches and piles of dead brush/twigs. Could make a good gift too!
