Like it alot, but it is very large for a rachet. Does use the Dewalt battery. Spins fairly fast

Got this ratchet to add to my tool box. Makes work much quicker. Works well with dewalt batteries and for the size it has decent torque. Overall happy to have this in my toolbox and the quality.

Iβve used two other similar battery-powered ratchets, each having similar claims of power (in ft/lbs) and both not coming close to what is noted. I figured I would take my chances on a third. While working on my sonβs car, I figured I would test it since there were a few bolts of different tightness. I used a fully charged 3Ah battery with it. I first tried it on the upper trim area under the hood. I tested the toque with a manual ratchet first to get an idea of how tight it was, then tried to remove it with this ratchet β nothing. Ok, I figured I would try a series of smaller bolts around the under carriage shroud which were a little less tight β nothing. My next step was going to be making an expensive hammer out of it but I resisted and instead figured I would see what kind of torque it was actually putting out. When I ran it on my digital torque adapter at a breaking torque (not running), I could only break around 20 ft/lbs, so really not much. Maybe the noted 74 ft/lbs are the running torque, I donβt know but itβs definitely not able to break 70 lbs.Besides the lack of power, the forward/reverse key needs to be a bit larger. For a tool this size, I found it was tough to rotate it when changing directions.Additionally, they include some black sockets. While I donβt see anything noting it, black typically indicates a tool is impact rated. Similar sockets, extensions, etc. that are impact rated are not shiny and feel dense. I have a feeling this are simply regular sockets painted black.I would have rated this ratchet 2 starts but because it is brushless and as a built-in light, I can see myself using it for situations where several small bolts or screws will be affected, like dropping a transmission pan. Otherwise, it really doesnβt have the power necessary for turning easy breaking bolts.

This is a nice ratchet and I have really enjoyed using it!This is stated to be able to hit 70 ft/lb of torque, that is not accurate , this is much less powerful....That said... This is a great tool none the less and a super helpful addition to the tool chest!I love this on so many tasks, and if it's under powered I break it loose by hand and then this takes over!So still a great time saver! and when re-assembling this is awesome - get everything set then run through everything with a torque wrench to finish...Great addition but not a torque or impact replacement - But I didnt expect it to be!

Good value, is a little bit on the bulky side.
