On it's first use it stopped working while cutting trough a 1/2 " cedar fence board. The motor just buzzes now and the blade does not move. I am very disappointed that I gave this as a gift.

Item is garbage. Broke the first time I used it. Motor runs but doesn't move blade back and forth. Unfortunately I used after return window closed so now I'm stuck with it

Not at all good. Used it twice then the shaft connection broke the motor runs but it’s not connected very cheaply made. I’m going to purchase a Dewalt but I thought I give this unit a go. My bad….its a POS I give it rating of lower than whale poop.

This is only a good price if one owns a Dewalt battery and charger - which cost more than this saw. My son has used the saw on several projects in our yard. He still prefers his Sawzall. He feels this one could be a bit sturdier. I’m not qualified to use power tools so I use my son as my expert.

What a great saw. I've held off from buying a Sawzall for years for price reasons.I'm a DeWalt guy so my tools have reciprocal parts, however. So, when I saw this saw come across my recommendations and that it matched the batteries I already own, I jumped on the opportunity.And I'm so glad I did - I've used it multiple times this winter, from chopping up a Christmas tree for composting after the holidays to deconstructing abandoned pallet wood to fit in my trunk for winter fireplace fodder. Literally just drove to a local industrial area with the saw and got to work. Got 8 pallets worth of wood in early half an hour on a single battery charge - I brought multiple batteries just in case and didn't need them at all. Love it.10/10 recommend for folks looking for an affordable reciprocating saw that's compatible with Dewalt batteries.
