Cordless is nice but if you don't want to stop in middle of a stereo install better have a corded iron on hand.. this is OK for 1 or 2 quick solder job it's fine.. but if your like me you work slow and this don't cut it.. spend more..

Was surprised how well this works for soldering small joints. Not sure how long charge will last, but not an issue in a portable tool. Good collection of accessories including the case. Only issue is non-intuitive use of the button and LEDs to switch on/off, and set heat.

Quality impressive light project wireless soldering tool perfect for electronic boards and leds you don't want to over heatUnfortunately I have to digress and share I don't know if this is a one off case I wanted to love this but after trying to fuse led lights for a cube display I have not been able to complete 8 spot welds in a row before battery dies this thing eats up the battery within minutes can't return so looking to order a replacement of a different iron too bad

I didn't know how much I needed a cordless soldering iron until I got one. This little unit works quite well. The kit includes a little stand and sponge, some solder, and some rosin. It will get you going. It has three tips to change out to your liking. I tried the different settings, which are basically low, medium, and high. The lowest setting got me going soldering up a small board, and I had it knocked out in no time.It heats up and cools down both in short order.I'll probably break this out more than my tabletop unit with fine temperature adjustments.100% recommended.
