This has been the best little icemaker I have ever bought. I have bought many over the years but for what it puts out is continuously awesome I do a lot of fishing. I always have ice when I need it I fill the bin and I put it in shopping bags and then into a freezer until I have like 5 to 6 bags, then I shut the machine off. They have the best merchandise possibly you can buy. If it’s cheaper somewhere else it’s probably because it is cheap. I would buy this machine again and again.

Update: replacing after 4 years. Will give a proper burial. Was very happy with it.After 4 years, the water recirculating loop has failed. Maybe it's clogged, maybe the motor is gone. Could it be fixed? Maybe. But the thing is 4 years old and has become kinda glitchy, and I believe it was already nearing the end of its life.I need to stress that this thing has been continuously operated outdoors in Central Florida for 4 years and 2 hurricanes. The machine is not even supposed to be outside, yet here it is under rather brutal conditions. It has held up great and I consider 4 years to be a solid life expectancy considering the price and performance. It has literally made tons and tons of ice. I will be replacing it with the exact same one, because I feel like I got great value out of its predecessor. Godspeed little ice maker - you did great. Nothing lasts forever, but you sure tried.UPDATE it's now been 3 years, running 24/7 in the Florida sunshine. It's blipping off more than it used to now, and not making as much ice as it once did. I fear it may be approaching the end of its life. I am not bitter about this, however. The machine explicitly says it is not for outdoor use, yet here I am running it constantly in hot humid weather. I think it's held up great, considering what I'm asking of it. This is like having your foot to the floor of a car for a solid 3 years and then wondering why the engine is beginning to fail.I'm looking at other models to replace it, but honestly I'm considering just re-purchasing this one. I think I got a good value from it - $430 for 3 years of pretty consistent ice-making, supplying all of our pool parties and events. What a great little machine. I'll give it a proper burial when its day finally comes.Been going on two years of more or less continuous operation and it has been fantastic. Once in a long while it will for whatever reason just simply shut off and give an error code, which can only be fixed by unplugging and restarting the machine. It's happened a couple of times where we were out of town and came back to find a warm, empty machine and with bugs attempting to get inside. But it's been run pretty hard over these two years, sitting on a backyard deck outside in the Florida heat, so 4 stars is a compromise between the 5 for its durability and a 3 for its reliability. Overall I still think it was a great purchase.

This ice maker works fine for making ice but it shuts off randomly for no apparent reason. This started when it was new, when I complained to the company their solution was to give me back $350 of my $500. I thought that I could get it fixed but the repairman couldn't figure out what was wrong with it ( he charged me anyway). So it makes ice and then shuts itself off, then the ice melts and when you need ice there isn't any. I would turn it back on and repeat the process. After 16 months of this I replaced the unit with an old, used GE ice maker that works well. Now I have this one collecting dust because I don't know what to do with it. Anyone need a boat anchor?

I ordered this and when it arrived it was a little smaller than I had thought. I plugged it in and hooked the water line to it. Real simple! You do need to have a drain line for condensation hooked up 1st. Without the drain line in place your ice will be floating in cold water. I purchased a Little Giant condensation pump for $51. This saved the day. This Ice maker supplies P L E N T Y of ice. I love it. Fills up our beer and coke coolers and keeps the party going with mixed drinks. Works for our family gatherings.

This ice machine is awesome so far, it works really well and produces quite a bit of ice. We were purchasing ice daily since my husband works outside all the time, and he needs ice for his drinks and water. This ice machine has done an excellent job for the money you can't beat it!

Makes Ice quickly as described. However, an appliance of this cost should have included a drain pump like in a clothes washer or dishwasher. The drain outlet is about 3" from the bottom so it impossible to drain under sink plumbing drain above the trap. (I am a plumber) If you like your ice with water than it is great! I plan to install a 120v pump and manual switch under the counter to make it work. :(

This little machine seems to work great.... I installed this in my outdoor bar area and thus far it has lived up to its high rating. Makes lots of ice and holds enough to keep up with a big group pool party. Installation was simple and cleaning is not difficult at all. If you do not have a drain available like me then adding a “little giant” condensation pump is the answer. I was able to add this for $45 and ran simple vinyl tubing to my bathroom drain. You could even drain it to an outside source since it’s just melt off. I would buy this unit again

I say this Ice Maker is great and is making ice as it should. I give 4 stars for the Value for Money because the door is kind of hard to open/close. You have to slightly lift it in order to close/open. It seems to have some frictions between the door and the machine itself. We only use it to make ice and have a separate ice bin so not too big of a deal, but the issue is there whenever you try to get ice. I had a larger ice maker before and definitely open/lose door is not an issue. Overall 5 stars. Fits well under bar counter.
