I bought this back in February 2022 and finally got my project "mostly" finished. I mounted this on my Harbor Freight air compressor. I'm using it with a Diablo air hose reel. I have this mounted via 2 pieces of 3/4 inch plywood pieces mounted to the top of my compressor. I didn't have to modify this item or the reel to mount them to the plywood. The only thing I have not finalized is how to lock this item at 90 degrees. In the first photo it is flat and not latched in any way. This will work - I don't see a problem. The second photo I am holding it up vertical but I have no way to latch it. I am very happy except no vertical latch mechanism. Hope this gives you ideas or a laugh!

I added this bracket to my Coxreel air hose reel. It makes it so much easier to pull out the hose as it swivels to the required angle. Not as hard on the hose and much smoother operation. I also needed to extend my reel about 6” so this was perfect! Highly recommend.

After buying and installing a Cox spring driven reel and hose system, l realized l needed their swing bracket. After receipt of the bracket l removed my (heavy) reel only to find that the reel and bracket’s mounting holes did NOT match. I had to drill and modify the bracket to fit. It works fine but l was amazed that the two Cox products didn’t match.

Yes, the reel has the four rollers on it so the hose will play out even if your pulling it at an angle. At the same time, pulling it at an angle is harder on you and the hose. I gulped at the price and bought this, but I'm so glad that I did. The reel automatically turns to face me, the hose slides out smooth as butter, and when I'm done with the air I can just turn the reel flush with the wall and go about my business without being knocked in the head. One thing I'll warn you about: Coxreels suggests buying some very beefy hardware to go with this set, and I used some locktite on the bolts as the reel is subject to some banging and vibration. Really, this is a great project. Love it.

Bought this to mount a universal air hose reel I bought from Harbor Freight. Cut a couple of 1/4 inch steel plates for mounting to a 2x4 and I was in business. Works great and I can swing it out of the way in the shop so I do not trip over it.
