The ad on Amazon for this product was not terribly accurate. In recall that I found two conflicting mentions of the mat, especially it's ability to adequately hold a 17x22" print. I asked questions about that and one of those utterly inadequate pseudo-AI things came on. When I told it the above, it simply insisted it was adequate. Impatient with the non-responses, I said I'll take it, and if it is inadequate, I'll just return it.There is 1/4" of mat supporting a large print, which I think may be borderline adequate. There was no mounting board packaged with the mat. Even though the description used the word "matboard" leading me to think the package contained both needed parts.

I bought this matting for my my dad's Father's day present. I bought frame and art print separately but to make it fit correct and look nice I needed matting. It really looked fantastic and expensive when I added the matting. Delivery was quick as well and packaged well. Most of all Dad was very happy !

Obvious tear on one corner of the mat. I don’t know how something like this gets shipped out to a customer.

The mats are great! That’s why I gave a 5, however, be sure you decide on a color before buying. We weren’t sure which color of white was going to go well with the picture & the frame, so we narrowed it down to 3. When they came, we found one looked awesome, & the other 2 didn’t match the right color of white, so we went to return them. It’s going to be around $44 to return 2 mats. I understand it’s an odd shaped box, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that much because it’s so light. I always forget when you get free shipping to get the item, returns may not be free. (So it’s totally on me, lol!) I always check to see if something CAN be returned, however, it never says what return shipping MAY be, so I forget. I totally appreciate companies may need to charge for return shipping, I just wish they could give an estimate before purchase. I wanted to let people know this may happen to them so they can make their decisions accordingly…and maybe by writing this, MAYBE I’ll remember to take my own advise next time. Haha.
