I like the look of the book ends, however previous reviews are correct that the do not support many books. Damage to my credenza occurred when attempting to determine how many books they could handle.Perhaps a plate or widening of the base would help.

I loved the design of these bookends, but they fail to perform their task. The bookends are too light to hold books of any weight and the base has felt protectors that cause them to slide on a slippery surface. The first time I tried to replace a book in the stack, the bookend slid, toppled over, and scratched the wooden table surface badly. The same thing happened a second time when one bookend slid, fell off the table, and broke. Not useful.
