Your cart is empty.Creative Grids has joined forces with The Gypsy Quilter to make it even easier to mass produce one of their all-time favorite products, the bowl cozies. This nested set includes both sizes of bowls. The small bowl cozy template works with the precut bowl cozy batting (TGQ036), the other template with the large (TGQ103). If you prefer to cut your own batting, we recommend The Gypsy Quilter cotton batting (TGQHECB12 or TGQHECB18) which is microwave safe. Just two squares of batting and two squares of fabric make one cozy. Simply fold the fabric in quarters and rotary cut around the template. It doesn't get any easier than that! A complete set of instructions is included with the templates. A visual learner? Scan the QR code on each template to watch a video demonstration. Note: Since the finished product is intended to be used in a microwave, you MUST use 100% cotton thread, batting and non-metallic fabric. The templates slide easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!

Creative Grids have awesome templates. They come with non-slip grips on the bottom of each template or ruler. I like the ease of using the templates with a rotary cutter and rotating cutting mat.

I have never had a problem with Creative Grids products & I have a lot of their rulers. The problem with these templates for bowl cozy’s is that I tried 2 sizes of rotary blades to cut the 4 layers of batting . 45 mm & 60 mm & it was no good. I hacked my way thru as best I could. In addition the large template is huge. Too big at 16 inches. Regret this purchase.EditedTurns out that a very thin cotton batting is what was used by people who liked this template. I did not realize that & in fact only found one batting that was advertised as thin. So, I have ordered that product & am hoping I will be a very happy customer once it arrives.
