  • Creative Grids exclusive non-slip grip allows you to easily slide the ruler over the fabric until positioned correctly. Then, when slight pressure is applied, the grip holds the ruler in place, eliminating slipping while you cut.
  • Easy to read black and white markings are printed in 1in grids marked in 1/8in and 1/4in increments.
  • Use the black numbers printed on white dots and the 1/4in grip sides to cut in whole inches.
  • Use our exclusive Turn-a-Round feature to easily cut in 1/2in increments by following the white numbers on black dots and 1/2in grip sides.
  • The 1/4in dashed lines that are printed on two adjoining sides, aid in trimming seam allowances, and the 45 degree diagonal line makes trimming half-square triangle blocks easy and accurate.
  • White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the square to show the center of the ruler. Use these lines to square up blocks based on four-patches, embroidered, and appliquéd blocks.

I quilt a lot and use only Creative Grids rulers after attempting other brands. I like how easy it is to read the marks on the rulers. They don't move on the fabric with only a little pressure. They are accurate. There are a good number specialty rulers to help with piecing.

I am an avid quilter and this brand is my only ‘go to.’ This particular ruler is great for half square triangles because of the center guide that runs diagonally through the center.Also because my finished block will be 5x5, it is so easy to ‘square the block up for a perfect finish.

I needed to cut 5 1/2 inch squares out of printed directional fabric and needed them to be accurate to fit into a quilt block. After trying to draw these onto fabric, I realized it would be best if I just bought a ruler to do the measuring. I was so glad I did! The blocks came out perfectly square and this ruler does not slip when cutting. The seller sent the ruler the next day after ordering it, so my project was not delayed. Very happy with all aspects of ordering/ receiving this item.
