This spearhead actually did not fit my pole spear, because the factory head had a counterbore and this one did not. Could be an old model vs new model thing. I called Cressi customer service, and they were unfortunately not able to help over the phone. However, I emailed customer service, and since I was able to visually show the issue, they were very helpful and are sending me a spearhead with a counterbore. I am very happy with the customer service, and will definitely be purchasing Cressi products whenever possible. In this review, I have attached pictures of the spearhead I have (flats on sides, counterbore at the attachment point), as well as the one I received (smooth sides, no counterbore). If you need a spearhead with a counterbore, I recommend reaching out to Cressi directly. Overall, great company, quality products, and wonderful customer service. Would highly recommend buying from them.

Product picture accurately reflects the product, but this product could be vastly improved by adding barbs to the tips.

Great product. Sturdy even hitting rocks, no problem. Went into Lionfish so well.4 stars because the points are a bit far apart.I took a piece of bicycle tube and slid it over the spines to pull them into a tighter triangle (3 points). And this did a great job of adjusting the spread. Go to any bike shop and they’ll have old tubes for free.

The socket where the spines attach goes rusty very quickly. I've seen another where one of the spines fell off and it looks like they are very poorly welded to the base.

Used for lionfish hunting. Quite sturdy and rust resistant, though not rust proof of course. We’ve tried many different spear tips & these by far, are the best.

Pretty sharp until you hit a rock. You can file them though.

Tines broke off one at a time each time i used it... they're held into place on the spear tip by a drop of epoxy. I think the heat of the sun softened the epoxy; coupled with the force of storing the tines clustered together in the plastic cap that came with the spear tip, I was down to one tine in less than 2 months of weekly to bi-weekly use.
