I purchased the pattern to a) support creators even though I could have worked out the details myself; and b) to save myself the trouble of doing the math and drawing for parts like the leaning and stacked books, because I was already planning a similar quilt in my head. Imagine the disappointment when I discovered the leaning book pattern is not included and costs extra from the creator's website. This pattern is, therefore, at least partially a bait and switch of false advertising. Most of it is there, but not all of it. I'm still looking forward to making my own bookcase quilt in this block by block method. At least I won't have to do the math to figure out what sizes.

Loved doing this one, but it was the most expensive quilt I ever made! Usually the least amount of fabric you can buy is 1/8 yd and I needed lots of different ones. People think it's a real bookshelf until they look closer, because it is nearly touching the floor.

This pattern has clear and concise instructions. My only complaint is the picture shows leaning books but there are no instructions for them. I went to the stated website and purchased those instructions. Unfortunately for me, the leaning book involves paper piecing. I don’t do paper piecing. I did find leaning book pattern on the web - free.

Great Pattern!!!After receiving the pattern I thoroughly went through it and could not figure out why 2 of the previous reviewers said it was a bad pattern and the only reason I could figure out was unlike most patterns this one left room for self expression in terms of you picking out what you want in the quilt. All the quilter had to do was to pick out the blocks they wanted to use and make them, the measurements are very accurate. The pattern leaves a lot of room for the quilter adding of deleting anything they do not like. I
