Idk if it was mishandled before amazon or at amazon. Racked about 5 times. In the middle of 5th rack gun broke James and pieces fell apart. Barrel slid out the end. I just got it.....

I actually kind of love this gun. It's accurate, got a good weight to it, and the construction is actually pretty solid (internals seem fine too). It's also strong enough to go through cardboard boxes but weak enough to where you can set up a target inside, so I've been using it pretty frequently since it came in and I've probably run a few hundred BBs through it. Racking the slide is a bit rough though (as other people have mentioned), and the trigger pull is a bit heavy on mine too.At some point, the trigger jammed after cocking and it wouldn't fire. So I ended up taking the thing apart. This is the first time I've disassembled an airsoft gun (no experience disassembling real ones either), but it turned out to be a pretty fun project. I managed to assemble it again and got the gun to work, but I'm not 100% sure what jammed the trigger. I think a small ball bearing might have caused the problem though (noticed it in the mag and I thought I got it out before loading the gun, but I don't know where it came from and I noticed the same bearing rolling out of the gun after disassembly). The gun shoots fine again now. The trigger pull is actually a bit lighter too... which is weird. I'm trying not to think too hard on where that ball bearing came from though. This is definitely better than the $30 airsoft guns that were available to me in my teens though. I'd generally recommend it.UPDATE:Been drinking beer with the bois and shooting airsoft guns since the ranges here are pretty trash. It's been a pretty good activity. While hanging out with a friend, the trigger jammed again but it's so simple to work on that we were able to take the gun apart and oil it without too much of a damper on hangout time.ALSO, bugs have been coming into the house because of the weather, and this thing has become the house's favorite method of dealing with unwanted pests. It's unhealthily satisfying to aim it at a roach and watch as the cursed beast bursts into little bits (a bitch to clean but well worth it).I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars...

I use airsoft in the basement for target practice, as a cheap substitute for the real thing. This so far is the closest springer I've found that compares to the real deal. You can probably find GBB airsoft that are more realistic, but this has been good enough for me. Construction is decent, slide and frame are both two piece metal halves, screwed together. With a loaded magazine it is still significantly lighter than a real 1911A1. Racking the slide on this is honestly pretty atrocious compared to other springers, and significantly harder than the real deal.Speaking from experience of having two of them, you will eventually get a sticky trigger after a thousand rounds or so. You will need to remove the slide and put a couple drops of gun oil on the sear pin. I also put a light coat of Tetra grease on the rails while I was at it. Zero issues afterwards (though the force required to pull the slide is still crazy).I find that .25 BBs provide a tighter grouping and closer to point of aim compared to .12. That being said, I still find my hold at the bottom of a Midway pistol target (8.5x11) at ~16 feet.

The pistol is almost all metal and it’s got the weight in hands. Everything works fine except the spring that is way too strong/tight to rack easily. I strongly recommend wearing gloves to avoid scraping your skin off your hands. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.Update: It could have worked if it was semi auto but it’s rack and shoot per shot. There’s just no way to enjoy this pistol with this super strong spring. Returned for a refund after holding onto it for 3 months and a change. 3 stars

the gun is all metal except for the magazine, but it holds many rounds in the back. the safety grip works and its very nice. the safety selector stops the trigger and slide. overall, VERY COOL
