Beautiful pen, very comfortable writing and soft. Respectable appearance and interesting original opening-closing. I recommend it. I don't often write reviews, but here I write as soon as I received it.

I love this Cross Edge pen! The matte black finish looks sharp and professional, and the rollerball ink is smooth and effortless to write with. It doesn’t smudge, and the ink dries quickly. The pen feels substantial, and it’s comfortable to hold for long writing sessions. Whether for everyday use or as a gift, this pen is perfect. Definitely worth the investment!

This is the only pen I use, and the only pen I buy as gifts. Most other reviews cover almost all the positives, there is one feature this pen has that not only don't other people mention, but isn't in the description or advertisement by Cross here on Amazon. Namely, that the pocket clip is spring/hinged loaded, and by pushing on the top part of the clip, the bottom opens up almost like an alligator clip. This means that it's beyond easy to secure it in a pocket, organizer, or like I do, in between the buttons of my button down shirt.I've left this pen at home by accident from time to time, and have used another Cross pen that day (one that doesn't have this clip), or other "nice" pens, and it's then that I realized how much I just have to have that hinged pocket clip. It's a game changer, ESPECIALLY if you're someone who uses his pen a lot at intervals throughout the day, and find yourself putting it away for a few minutes before needing it againI can't believe more high end pens don't do this, or that Cross hasn't incorporated this into other pens in their line.As far as the pen itself, it's been covered pretty well by others. It writes great, it is customizable with ink and tip, and it looks fantastic.Pro tip though. If you get this pen and hand it to someone else to use while it's closed, I guarantee that person will twist the hell out of it trying to open it not realizing it's a pull open pen. The pen has held up under multiple people doing this, including a few times they really tried cranking on it, but continuous "abuse" like this will loosen up the open mechanism a bit, making it a little shaky and not as solid.Side note....this pen is on the medium/large size, which is perfect for me as I have big hands and long fingers, but I could see this being a bit large to hold comfortably for those with smaller hands. All in all, this is the best pen I've ever used

Pros:There are a few things I love about this pen. The pen pushes closer together to close. This is great if you keep a pen in your dress shirt pocket because the clip holds it up and it does not hit the bottom of you pocket making an ugly pen line in your shirt. Also the clip is spring loaded so it is secure. The end of the clip has a little roller wheel so it won't wear down you clothes as you clip and unclip it multiple times per day. The clip has a good amount of spring in it so you clip it in your pant pocket edge and not worry about losing it.The pen is juicy and writes great! It has a nice weight to it. I purchased the blue gel cartridges and love it for paperwork since the ink stands out but is still legal. The pen has a healthy weight to it and I constantly get compliments from my customers. It comes in a nice box that would be a well received gift.Cons:This pen has a little play in the top end while extended. I don't remember the extra play with the last pen I owned of this model. Also the end of the box protective sleeve was taped with scotch tape which made otherwise beautiful packaging look cheap. You could just remove the sleeve when gifting it. See my pictures for more details.Bottom line:Great pen for the money that is easy to carry, writes smoothly, and will guarantee to impress!

Was impressed with the reviews and ordered one. Looks and feels like a much pricier product, this is no cheap Cross. It's finish, shiny metal parts, the weight, moving parts, etc is simply first class. It feels like a pen designed by Audi for customers of its cars! Writes brilliantly, the ink flow and smoothness is right up there with the best. It does however have a peculiar aberration, I'm not sure if I should call it a problem. The pen has been designed so that the pen's pocket clip latches on to the breast pocket (mens shirt) with a good one and a half inches of the pen protruding out of the top of the pocket. It looks strange and disrupts the smooth flow of a work shirt, not really the sort of thing for an executive or management level staff. But women and men who carry the pen in a bag or who wear a jacket to work may have no issue with that. Still, for me, that takes away one star.I find it strange that no one has written of this before and I will try to upload pictures with the Cross and my regular Sheaffer pen in my pocket. The opening and closing mechanism, while unusual, is very intuitive and I've became accustomed to it. It was initially tight, but has now loosened up, yet it takes a bit more effort to get the tip fully extended. Still, once extended, the tip stays true and doesn't collapse on writing no matter what the pressure. All in all, a keeper.
