I have both Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass in this shape, and Carbon Fiber one is a lot sturdier, especially when you press the handle area. The weight is about the same. This single case has plenty of room inside to protect a trumpet inside, so I guess it doesn’t really matter if you can push the side in just a little. The fit is very snag, so some trumpets might have problem fitting in, like when you have heavy bottom caps. I would always prefer Carbon one, but Fiberglass one is a little easier on your wallet and gives great protection. If CrossRock make one slimmer (thinner) in Carbon Fiber, I would buy one again.

I ordered this as a gift, and it was delivered out of the US. Unfortunately it seems it was broken before packed, probably refurbished.. and was sold as new.It’s A shame since I can’t return the order, for I am no longer in the US
