These were a pain to install, only cause the old ones were difficult to get out. The ride however, is much better after install over what was in there. Quality is less than desirable as the leads are oddly shaped as seen in the picture. The passenger side has a section that hits the exhaust making me thing something was messed up on install. Nope, just poor crafting. Overall happy with them as they are smoother than what was on there but if I had to do it again I’d go with Dorman. Lesson learned. Now hopefully they last awhile.

Purchased a pair of these through Amazon in March of 2021 and have driven the vehicle they were installed on less than 6000 miles. Now, one of the leaf springs lost all temper forward of the rear axle and is not arched at all! Other spring is still fine but result is a leaning vehicle--not a pleasant result at all for the hard work to install.Granted there are no "guarantees" in the aftermarket but springs of any kind are a gamble unless they're OEM specs. I'm writing to Crown Automotive now to see if they'll back their product up with a warranty replacement but I'm not going to hold my breath either.UPDATE: Crown did respond saying these springs are manufacturer-guaranteed for 1 year. i was past that but because i had them installed on my XJ less than a full year with defect, they ARE going to replace it! Gotta give them an extra star-rating for that and i was lucky but LESSON LEARNED: *Don't* buy suspension parts until you're ready to install them!! (warranty)

I purchased these leaf springs for my 98 cherokee to replace flat oem springs because they were listed as crown’s heavy duty leaf springs. I tow a small utility trailer with lawn mower on occasion so I wanted the stiffer springs. The added 1” spring height also allowed me to run 235/75r17 tires (nearly 31”). After only 6 month of use the packs were almost flat (near stock ride height). Now after a year they are completely flat and even slightly invert with 100+ pounds of tools or trailer hooked up. I can still clear tires with extended bump stops, but don’t have a lot of travel. I am now looking into add a leaf kits or taller shackles to get my height back. These are probably fine for anyone who doesn’t plan to haul any weight, but I haven’t been impressed with them for my purposes. I would have just gone with a reputable small lift spring or leave stock springs with adjustable lift shackle if I had it to do over again.

Purchased this in November of 2018, and didn't install until April of 2019. It is now Nov of 2019, and the leaf springs have inverted. Looked great when first installed, however they didn't even last a full year or 10,000 miles. Unfortunately too late to use the warranty, which you have to file a claim through the seller, who has to go through Crown.I have never towed, carried much weight in my trunk, or offroaded with these springs. These were paired with new shocks of proper length and bump stops. My vehicle's purpose was strictly driving to work and school.I would stay away from these, unless you're looking to do the same job twice in one year.

Slapped these bad lear bears on my 98 xj and now she sits 4 inches higher as the old ones were bowing the other direction. Do yourself a favor and buy 4 cans of PB Blaster catalyst rust spray and soak every darn bolt for a couple of weeks and you'll be surprised how easy they come out. Take your shocks off!!! Put the front bushing into the frame first, get the plate on and ubolts, then Jack up the pumpkin and put the shocks back on, and then you'll need to pry the back bushing with a breaker bar against the frame and line up the holes with the shackle. I highly recommend these.

My 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport's original leaf springs were sagging (195,100 miles) so badly the tires could almost touch the body. Bought these and the bushings recommended as a package by Amazon, and my mechanic installed them (apparently took hours to replace the old ones due to rust). The car now rides high, they're a great fit, and the car is that tiny bit more comfortable (the new rear shocks don't hurt, either => AC Delco 520-35).I would say the lift is +1.5" more than stock.

Awesome replacement leaf spring. Followed what another review had posted about using these to install an "upcountry" type suspension on your XJ. Mine came out perfect just where I wanted it. They ride much better than the old clapped out springs and give a decent lift and much better at carrying a load. Jeep doesn't live on the bumpstops anymore.

I recently put a set of 31" tires on my XJ. They rubbed a lot in the back end.So I installed a set of these Crown HD Springs. Just like I read on the forums, they gave me 1.5 to 1.75" of lift over the stock springs. Which makes a huge difference. Now my 31"s look a bit better spaced out in the real wheel fender and do not rub.The ride has improved too. Nice and smooth over bumps. I was expecting it to be stiffer of a ride, but its not stiff at all.Installing them is a huge PITA. Well, I mean uninstalling the old ones. The front bolts that go though the bushings into the frame will fight you all the way out! The bushing rust up inside and make it very difficult to remove the bolt. I ended up having to cut the end of the spring and then the bushing completely off with an angle grinder to remove one of the sides. If you tackle it yourself, good luck and read through the jeep forums for guidance.
