This part is for a TJ but I used this on my 1992 YJ to replace the 4wd light switch that was formerly vacuum operated. This one screwed in as a direct replacement and I made a wire harness to reach the connection from the original vacuum diaphragm. I permanently locked my front passenger axle with one of those axel locking kits that hold the collar in place. Now when i put it in 4wd, I know its engaged. And the light comes on like it's supposed to.

Did the CAD delete on my 1994 YJ and installed this to get the 4x4 light back - it didn't work. Originally, I ordered this part made by Dorman and it didn’t fix my light. After reading reviews and forums, I installed this Crown part and my light is working again on my 05 Jeep LJ.

Used on a 1990 Jeep YJ that has a NP231J. As part of a CAD delete, I replaced the old vacuum switch with this one. It has the same threads and screws right in. Originally this was made for a Jeep TJ but if your removing the CAD system and want 4WD indication in your YJ dash, this is the part you want.
