My husband has been using this type of staple remove his entire 60 year career as a billiard table mechanic.He lost several in a fire last year. He requested a replacement. Amazon was the only place we could find it. thanks.

I recently tore down and completely reupholstered an antique sofa that had been upholstered at least twice previously. The number of tacks and staples that needed pulling was mind boggling, and I quickly realized that the tool I had for this wasn't going to work. Bit the bullet, ordered the Osbourne tool, and it made quick work of yanking those suckers out. Worth every penny! Great investment.

I bought a staple remover from home Depot that ended up bending backwards after several. This tool worked much better. It is sturdy. Hopefully it will last me several uses down the road.
