The local hardware store wanted 15 cents each. I only neededn 12, but this was a good price. I used them to make threaded holed in 3d printed parts. I put one on the pointed tip of my soldering iron and melted it into place. Bingo! threaded holes that hold up better than threading the plastic.

I used these inserts to insert them in plastic and 3D Printed parts, to either hold a metal screw or a setting screw. Just heated the part up and inserted it into a hole a little smaller than the diameter of the insert.

These are exactly what you expect. But, do yourself a favor and pick up some soldering iron tips to aid in inserting these. They are a real pain without the proper tips.

Embedded a bunch of these into a 3D printed helmet - and the results are incredible. Great value for the money.

I make a lot of Resin skulls and my #1 seller is one that my Granddaughter designed. I call them Gearheads.I was making them with just gears and they sold great. Then I added shafts using these nuts to hold them. They sold better. Then I added chain-fall valves, also using these nuts. They sell like crazy!

The inserts are made out good quality brass and the machining is clean. They work great in my 3D prints. My order came with 126 inserts. Bonus!
