I had a similar wrench for the old blue Subaru filters, finally used them up and came to find, mid-oil change, that the black filters are like 1mm bigger around. My Impreza is the “ring of fire” style so a wrench like this on an extension is about the only thing that works for removal, for all the jUsT uSe a StRaP wReNch/hIt iT wItH yOUr pUrSe denizens. Bought it as a backup changing my oil-ended up saving my day. The universal “full” set from harbor freight is a bit loose, the belt filter wrench is not tight enough-this was my last resort and it worked like a charm. Amazing

Although the product says it's for Subaru oil filters, the wrench is not big enough to fit the filter.The filter in question is OEM Subaru 15208AA100.If you use the same filter, you'll need to find a different oil filter wrench.

Saw some reviews that said it slipped off, but it worked fine for my 2013 535xi. Fit was snug, had to give it a couple of taps to get it off but other than that it works as intended.

This is great for oil filters which are in awkward places. It did work but my only caveat to that is that I worry about its durability over the years if you constantly use it for very stuck filters. Where the wrench fits is not very thick and could possibly bend with constant use. It may behoove you to purchase one with an extended neck for the wrench so that it sits like a socket. If you are using it for occasional oil changes then it should work fine. I would purchase again if needed.

the filter wrench is great.......for first time use. def does feel very cheap. material is very thin. fitment on a bmw is great for the first time, but i widens everytime you use it. i had the 3/8 drive break on me on my 5th time using it. i would recommend the "Danti Oil Filter Wrench Cap 86mm", it cost a few bucks more but the quality is there. thicker metal, forged into one with 3/8 drive.

This also perfectly fits the oil filter on my '18 Hyundai Elantra GT 1.6T, which is what I bought it for.It's simple, but it works. Not much else to say.
