The original blade was pretty dull after a number of years. This was pretty reasonable, and it got the food processor back up to spec. One tip - there a so many variations online. If you take a picture with your cell phone, you can zoom in and see the correct part number on the original blade.

The plastic housing of my original chopping blade for my mini Cuisinart cracked and couldn’t be cleaned efficiently, holding food particles in the crack. I was going to throw it all out, but my husband found this replacement online. Happily, it is a perfect fit and works beautifully!

There are at least two variants of this blade and if you get the wrong one, your food processor doesn’t chop as well as there would be incorrect clearance between the blades and the bottom. The color doesn’t matter, but the part number on the body of the blade has to starts with DLC-4C like this one does.

After reordering I got the unit I really needed. Hint if you need a replacement , order from the number on the cutter and not from the model number of the chopper unit. The number is on the top flat edge of the blade housing. (See pic, if I can load it) after returning the 1st part I found this number on the blade and received this unit. I have had this chopper for a long time , over 4 years, the old blade housing cracked and although it still worked I felt it best to replace. I’ll also say I was really Surprised how muncher sharper the new blade is, I know that’s to be expected , but it also showed how dull the old blade is. I’ll replace this one sooner. Good buy I recommend , a bit expensive .

the first one last 3years they end up cracking they need to be inspected after use ,never the least they work very well.
