Instructions were perfect. All bolts and nuts and washers present. It is sturdy and the fit to my Crosstour is perfect. Now, having said that, I believe I should have gotten a two inch hitch, class 3, simply for the sake of versatility. I am just using this for a rear mounted bicycle rack so I needed nothing more substantial but the rack fits loosely into the hitch and I had to fabricate a side strap adaption to stabilize it.

Comes with hardware. You have to trim some of your heat shield. It’s a tight fit to get all the bolts in, but you can get them all in.

I am an experienced back yard mechanic. I have installed hitches before. This one was frustrating. The hitch does not line up with the holes when you just put it in place. I got 5/6 bolts in place and tightened down. The last vertical bolt will not line up, no matter how I positioned the hitch, or whether the bolts were tight or not. The vertical bolt hole on the car is about 1/4 or more outside of hole of the hitch. I am going to attempt to distort the hitch to make it fit. I also highly recommend you take the bumper guard off to give you direct access to the horizontal bolts. I'm sure I will eventually get it to fit properly but I have never dealt with these issues on previous installations. Certainly doing it on a lift might have made a significant difference and given more leverage to move the hitch around. The hitch itself seems fine and well made. I did another Curt hitch for my jeep today in 1/2 the time it took to do this one, with 1/4 the frustration.

The reviews by others about the one bolt that is off by 1mm, isn't the bolt. The washer doesn't lay flat. Remove the washer, or find a smaller one at your local hardware store. Also, like any installation, DO NOT tighten and bolts until each screw is in place. This leaves wiggle room and the ability to adjust. Switch from screw to screw and tight lightly. Switch from screw to scree again to finish tightening. This is how you must install this.Next, grab lubricant! This is for those rubber muffler mounts. Use the lubricant for the removal and reinstall of the rubber mounts. Take off both rubber mounts for the muffler, not just the ones near the rear end of the car.The installation will take at least and hour. Grab a flash light and make sure you have at least one foot extensions for your socket wrench. The standard wrench set will work. The instructions were incorrect about all the wrench sizes. Just have your entire set ready. Now, for the price, it's good. It comes out farther than expected but I needed it. If you never worked on a car before, go get it installed. I am a certified tech #2. This was annoying to install, even with my car four feet off the ground.I also week recommend that you inspect the hitch monthly for the first year.Good luck! 4 stars for the product. I was thinking three stars but for the price and the fact it is DID capable, I will give four. If I run into problems, I will update this review.

I bought this hitch for my Honda Crosstour to pull a 5 X 10 Uhal from Texas to Virginia. It worked just fine and was sturdy. My son installed the hitch and wiring harness in less than an hour. It bolted on with existing holes in the frame. He had to lower the muffler and trim the heat deflector. It is not hidden, but looks good and adds extra protection in the rear.

As experienced by what appears to be the vast majority of Crosstour owners, I had significant difficulties installing this hitch. There are only a few reviews here on Amazon, but check around the web (including the Crosstour owners forum) and read about the widespread problems associated with installing this Curt hitch on a Crosstour. The instructions are clear enough, and the job is not complicated at all. The problem is that the craftsmanship is simply horrible! My particular hitch was warped, which led to one of the bolt-holes not lining up with the frame. Of course this didn't become apparent until I had my muffler hanging down and everything pulled completely apart. I literally had all but two bolts in place when I discovered that the hitch wouldn't line up right. It was off just enough to NOT work. And trust me, I tried. It's the same story all around the web.I did finally get it to fit (over an hour just to get that one bolt in), but it was way more work than it should have been and not something I'd willingly go through - regardless of how inexpensive the item is. The hitch itself does seem sturdy and it doesn't look bad once on. It sticks out some (only the Honda hitch for the 2010-2012 model years is actually "hidden" and not noticeable), but not so far that it looks weird or stands out. It's just getting it on that could potentially be an issue. Some folks get good ones, but the chances of getting a poor-quality product are too high for this item. My advice: allow at least four hours for this one-hour job, buy a different hitch, or else get a shop to install this one for you. With the shop, they can deal with the headache. At the very least, having a lift and air-tools will make the process easier; as opposed to wiggling under a jacked-up vehicle and getting scraped knuckles. Good luck if you buy this thing; you may need it.
