Very happy with this hitch for my 2009 Accord. I was able to install it but not too expensive to have it done. Fits like a glove. Good instructions and tips. Trimmed the heat shield (their diagram was good) and with a steel file did some work to allow plate washer and bolt to be inserted into frame rail hole. All in all it's good to go and built to last.

This Curt trailer hitch is awesome. Very nice looking as far as trailer hitches go and it fit perfectly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I would recommend this hitch to my friends.

Nice tidy hitch. The hitch was very easy to install, it took under an hour to install on my wife’s 2010 Honda Accord. The hitch is not overly obvious, it is tucked up out of the way. This was very important to my wife as she did not like the idea of seeing a “truck trailer hitch” on her Honda. She’s very happy w/the way this looks. We needed a hitch to attach our bike rack & this does the trick. If your looking for a hitch for your car, CURT makes a nice hitch.

I usually don't write reviews but just wanted folks to know it wasn't as easy of an install for me as others claim. For some reason the square hole steel spacer did not fit into my accords frame rail hole (as shown on the instruction video). Because of this, I had to remove all 4 rubber isolators to my dual exhaust to let it hang much lower then what was recommended by the instructions. This allowed me to hammer the square hole spacer inside the hole which went it just fine with a little force. The difference in size is small but it was enough to make me do a lot more work to get the spacer where it needed to be. Other then that, I was able to install hitch just fine. If you are not mechanically inclined or don't have the proper tools, it's best if you probably have a shop install for you.As far as the hitch itself goes. It looks great and feels sturdy. This is a really great deal and I recommend it for those who are looking

I've never installed a hitch myself before. However, I'm mechanically inclined and found this unit very easy to install. The instructions say it takes 45 minutes. Hah! I'm guessing it would take a professional mechanic (who has all of his tools ready and installs these all day) 45 minutes to install one of these in a SINGLE exhaust vehicle. However, it took me 2 hours to install this on my 2011 Acura TSX Wagon (DUAL exhaust which equates to twice as many mufflers to lower and heat shields to cut). Granted, I'm a measure twice, cut once type of guy who's done enough of this kind of stuff to know better than to rush a job like this. Either way, I was very pleased the job only took 2 hours and I wouldn't hesitate to buy and install another hitch like this.

I ordered this hitch for my 2012 Honda Accord coupe, in order to add a bike rack that doesn't touch the car's beautiful red paint. I rented bay space at a DIY garage in order to put the car on a lift. My feeling is that this would be a tough job with the car jacked up and working on one's back on a garage floor. In any case, installation took about an hour and, while a little challenging, was what I expected after reading the instructions and watching an installation video on Youtube. My EX-L has dual exhausts so lowering the mufflers took a little more time and effort than expected. The most difficult aspects of the installation, however, were holding the hitch in position while tightening the first bolt (an additional set of hands would have been helpful, as the video suggests) and cutting the muffler heat shields. If I had it to do over, I'd cut the sheet metal shields with a rotary tool, rather than tin snips. The shields are bent and curved and cutting them with snips is a bit difficult and the result is not particularly elegant. Other than that, a great outcome for not much money.

Fairly easy to install on 2012 Accord Sedan. Directions regarding cut out for underbody panel and reassembly steps could have been clearer. Must slide hitch flange which mounts to frame through slot in panel before securing hitch to frame. And when you do that ... you do not have access to tighten nut. I drilled an access hole to allow use of socket with extension. Even with tweeking of cutouts for underbody panel and exhaust heat shield total installation took less than an hour. Will likely support advertised 200lb tongue weight but no much more with single attachment point via u-bolt above hitch. Has worked well with my 5x8 tilt utility trailer carrying riding lawn mower and other items. I'm more cautious about placing weight over axle vs on tongue. I expect it would work well for bike rack too.

Following advice of other reviews, I purchased this hitch for my 09' AcuraTSX. Hitch fit perfect and installs in about an hour for someone handy but not necessarily car-smart (like myself). Hitch looks good too and isn't an eye sore like others ive seen.Having an extra hand makes installation much easier. Also, if you don't want to grind out the access holes on your car to fit the spacers (some cars require this) you can grind the spacers to a smaller thickness.
