This is my second Hitch I have installed from Curt. This particular Hitch was installed on a 2014-2019 model Tucson. In this case I was able to install it myself without any special tools or needing to remove the exhaust. This particular model is also quite easy to install as you do not need fishwire to pull nuts through the frame.

BonjourJ’ai commandé ce hitch pour un Tucson 2021 2l . Cela a pris 20 minutes pour l’installation. J’ai dû retirer un plastique noir sous la voiture (3 clips) afin de pouvoir visser 2 bolts. Il y a 8 bolts en tout. Tout de même simple. Semble robuste. Pour mon rack à velo 1 pouce et quart je crois que je serai comblée. Est-ce que il va rouiller??... c’est à suivre!

I was looking for a solution to expand the cargo capacity for our Tucson for road trips and liked the idea of a hitch mounted rack, but needed a hitch receiver. The reviews looked pretty good but were mixed about ease of installation. It was actually easier than I expected. I installed it myself, and admit it took a little jockeying to get it up over the muffler, but I didn't have to move or remove anything on the car to get it into place and was able to hold it there with one hand while setting the screws. I've used it with a cargo rack for a couple trips and am happy with the purchase. It sits discretely beneath the bumper. The only small gripe is that there is not much clearance to slide in the locking pin when hitching (not the hitch pin, but the safety pin to prevent the hitch pin from dislodging) , but I have similar problems with the stock receiver on our Ford explorer. Just takes a little effort.

This hitch fit perfectly in this application, could not ask for better! 15 min install time, sturdy mount bolts, excellent contruction. Great Job CURT!!!

Worked as a mechanic starting in 1966, and while having other jobs, my toolbox is my toy box. I've put several trailer hitches on a variety of vehicles over the years, and never ever had one this easy to install. I was totally blown away, and so was my buddy who'd come over to help. All the holes lined up perfectly. A quick squirt of silicone on the muffler grommet followed by a bit of a grunt and shove, and the hitch slid in just like it belonged. Getting the angle of attack good for the torque wrench was a bit of a challenge as I normally don't like long extensions for that job, but it worked. This entire project was full of pleasant little surprises like that, and added up to about a 30 minute job. The biggest surprise was the look of the hitch. Unless you're standing (or looking) directly behind the vehicle, you cannot even see it. Amazing! Top quality like this is hard to find these days, for some reason, but I'm a Curt fan for life. Even ordered their wiring kit rather than building my own, just because I was so impressed with the hitch job.

I needed a trailer hitch for my 2018 Hyundai Tucson (w/1.6L Turbo Engine) so I could get a bike rack added to the car (so it didn't need to be huge or a class-3/4 hitch with 2" receiver). Also, I am a complete idiot when it comes to anything remotely mechanical and/or just didn't really want to fool with something heavy and metal on the bottom of the car that is going to be relied upon for transporting more heavy metal down the road at highway speeds... if this is you too, then this is the review for you.YES... this hitch works just fine with my 2018 Hyundai Tucson... also, I don't know just what years this particular hitch is supposed to be good for, but I know the 2016-2018 Tucson's are all identical in build/layout with really only the year the car is made being different... so at a bare minimum, this hitch is definitely a match for the 2016-2018 Tucson's (maybe more year models, though i'm not sure).As for installing this... yeah, no, even if it's just 8 bolts or something, I ain't touchin that (and I think it is just 8 bolts, FYI). If you refuse to install this yourself for whatever reason, but wonder "how/where can I get this installed"... obviously, if you have/know an auto mechanic, I'm sure they can hook you up... if you don't even have a regular mechanic you go to and just want the hitch installed, I know two places that definitely do... your local U-Haul will install a hitch (it's kinda their thing)... you can call them and arrange them to do it... or, because I didn't want to go that far (didn't have one near), I had a local Pep Boys store around the corner and had them install it... if you're providing the parts, it's about $50-labor to do the job. But really any mechanic should be able to do it for you... it really is just a few bolts if you don't want to mess with it yourself (and Pep Boys said they do no drilling or modifications to the car, it has to bolt straight on... since they did the job, obviously no drilling was required, it bolted straight on).So there you have it... yes, it fits on a Tucson and yes, it must be pretty simple since my local Pep Boys didn't complain about it... they got it done in a few minutes... and to all you who will install this yourselves and roll your eyes at the thought of paying someone else $50 to install it... more power to you... I really didn't want to mess with it, and now it's done, and i'm happy... money well spent to me.P.S.My Hitch arrived in a rather banged-up box... considering this is a REALLY sturdy metal hitch, the cardboard didn't do so well, but the hitch was uncaring about the condition of the box and survived the delivery just fine... there is a huge amount of taping around the hitch receiver, and this is where the bolts for the hitch are located in case you think they flew out of the box... they didn't... they're taped to the hitch receiver.
