It's exactly what it is advertised to be. I coupled my trailer with my weight distribution hitch then used the location of the spring chains to carefully position these hangers. After drilling a few holes I was able to hang the springs and torque the hitch. Now I can pull this trailer up to the full load limit of my truck without bottoming out my rear springs or having excessive squirrelliness.

All I got was two brackets, no nuts/bolts/washers or pins that are pictured with the item.

works great! half the price of the competitor. 1/2" drill bit was just right for installation (not included).

The studs on these are welded from the back of the plate using a plug weld. That is all fine and dandy but I don't know why they didn't just run a fillet weld down the front of them. I have seen other reviews on here where the plug welds broke so I went ahead and put fillet welds on the front. Other than that it came with everything and did what it was supposed to.

These brackets worked out great. I have a Vee nosed cargo trailer that I wanted to put a EzLift hitch on and that brackets that came with it wouldn't go back far enough. Had to trim a little off the trailer skirt but you can't tell once done.

Super easy install outside of the odd recommended drill bit of 17/32 where I think a standard 1/2" bit would have worked. Remember to double check your chuck size on the drill as mine only goes to 1/2". As for the install, hooked up the hitch, lined up the bars, used a sharpie to mark the brackets on the trailer and then drilled 4 holes. Great bracket and works great.

Bought the Curt product after buying another brand Amazon recommended weight distribution system. The instructions that came with the other brand were not very clear for someone new to the concept, but while searching for a solution I found very good videos produced by Curt. Wish I'd bought the Curt system from the get go.My trailer tongue has limited space to put the hookup brackets. Other system had brackets that are clamp style that go around the tongue, and very wide. Curt offered these that can bolt on and through the tongue, so I was able to put them at the correct distance, which for me was underneath a rack that is mounted on top of my tongue. Thanks to Curt for great instructions

High quality. Worked perfect on my camper where my batteries and LP tank didn't give me room for the brackets that fit over the frame. Very sturdy.

These are awesome! I thought I was toast as far as using a weight distribution hitch goes because I couldn't fit the bar over the top side of my trailer's tongue because there is a welded platform in the way supporting the gas tank and the battery for the camper.Install was a little bit tough, It is just hard to drill through both pieces of sheet metal completely level with the ground, I wasn't perfect and it still works just fine so... oh well. Just do you're best. When hitching up to the trailer these do take a little bit more work than if you had the kind that goes over and comes with a leverage bar, you have to hook up the trailer like normal, then raise the tongue quite a bit so you can get the chain over the lip, then lock in place. But when you lower it it won't go back as low as it did before.Bottom line: Don't use this unless you have to, the other method is much less work, but if you have no other choice this bracket is much better than no weight distribution hitch!
