This hitch is well made with good instructions (although some things in the instructions must be figured out). The kit is very complete BUT the bolts and reinforcement plates must be “fished” in through the frame to each of the four holes and two extra holes must be drilled for the mounting of it. I don’t know if this is specific on just my Outback model but it is NOT just a “bolt in” in my book. I have installed several hitches in Honda’s and some Lexus models. Most occasions the bolts and threads for the bolts already exist in the frames. This was much more difficult to install on my Subaru. Other than that it IS a top notch and quality kit. This did fit my Subaru well. Had a little confusion about missing hardware but they were actually stuck in a huge bundle of packing tape at the top of the bracket. Once that was figured out - mounting was not too difficult. The wiring harness took a bit more work than they describe but thank goodness my husband understands wiring and got it all done.

The product is exceptional. The instructions from the manufacturer to install the hitch package are garbage.
