Doesnt fit worth a crud. I had a feeling it wouldn't. So I'm giving it 2 stars for the price and their reluctant attempt to make an identical replacement yet better looking modified custom LOL; yet stuborness to keep pushing on and selling items to CUSTOMERS REGARDLESS. BRAVO! Cause I was prepared to make modifications to get it to git in my street glide FLHX. Like another post here said and I went off his advice. Warpage of the fairing is one thing but in a geometric spectrum. Who ever measured the dimensions You and I Sir weren't good at Math in school. I at least got a c+ you had to of failed F-. Be prepared to Strip inner lip of fairing quite substantially to get it to fit. So no cry babies. You will have to tinker like God darn you were monster garage and Jesse James. OH get your Bondo and filling putty out. If you haven't yet raised the motorcycle lift all the way up with you on it and taken a header yet maybe aaaa duck tape and zip ties. Shake and Bake fookers! It's in but for god sakes. I'll have to go to confession on Sunday for all the things I called you the maker of such a lovely piece of crap. I probably could of cut this out of a cereal box like when we were kids and have made a better fitting item

Like every other thing I've gotten from Custom Dynamics - their stuff just rocks. Well-constructed, great styling - but does not come particularly cheap. If it did, it probably wouldn't have the great construction and styling. Definitely a case of "you get what you pay for" with Custom Dynamics stuff.This was not a bad install - simple removal of the outer fairing - 5 minutes maybe. Remove the OLD intake trim - that DID take some doing. Maybe 10 minutes. Helped that I had some Goo Gone type stuff. I sliced through the foam rubber and used a flat trim tool to get the old piece out as per instructions. Spent MOST of the time though trying to get the remnants of the foam rubber & associated adhesive off. No issue - just tedious. You definitely want to remove the old stuff and get down to the actual fairing before you place the new piece.Followed directions and pushed in the new piece. It's not a quick easy snap and required me to again use the trim tool to get all 4 tabs clicked in. I guarantee that thing is NOT coming out. Total time - maybe 30 minutes. And looks SO sharp. Including pictures on my 2016 Ultra Limited.

The fit leaves a lot to be desired , sticks out on the top and nowhere near flush. If I knew it was going to fit like that I would have just bought another OEM vent. It’s also kind of a pain to get the tabs to “click in” on the inside of the fairing .

I was optimistic after reading another review that the outer fairing would not need to come off to install this trim (just being lazy), but that is not true. You can't install this properly without taking the outer fairing off. It was very difficult to get the new trim to snap into place on the bottom lip, and I ended up using a small flat blade screw driver from the backside of the fairing to pry it into place. Once snapped in at top and bottom it fit securely. As other reviews mention, mine doesn't appear to sit flush at the outer edges, but no one is going to scrutinize it that closely but me. Overall, I'm pleased with the appearance, but the product could use a little refinement on it's fitment.

This item fit perfect on my 2015 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited, but the first time I washed the bike, the screen mesh became detached from the main unit. So, I pulled it out and also removed the screen mesh on the other side. Still looks fine, so I'm okay with it.

Very nice, quality part from Custom Dynamics. I used this in conjunction with and it looks awesome. Everyone is asking me where I got it because they want it to.If you order just this part, you don't have to remove your fairing at all. All you have to do is wipe the area that the clear instructions tell you to with alcohol pads (that aren't supplied; must use your own), wait till it drys, apply the 3m primer to the area, wait 3-5 minutes then peel the tape on the vent trim and apply.If you opt for the LEDs, then you must remove your fairing to plug in the LEDs to a factory plug in the fairing. It takes less than 5 minutes to remove your fairing. 7 bolts and a couple of plugs and it's off.
