The collar is a simple pink cone with a scalloped edge, with attached blue and red dots for a pattern. It has white snap closures that let you adjust the collar to be one of two sizes. It fit well on my cat, who is a little on the small side (about 7-8 pounds). She had a hotspot from an unknown allergy and I needed to keep her from fussing with it while we figured out what she was reacting to.The collar is flexible enough that she could still lay down in it, and she was able to drink from her water fountain, but it was a little long for her, so I took it off when it was time to feed her. The snaps were tight enough to hold the collar in place for normal activity, but... she soon found a way out of it, and as she got more aggressive about pulling at the collar, it kindof stretched a little. I worry that the snaps will get less effective over time if she keeps pulling at it.If your cat is more laid-back than mine is, it might work out. It is pretty cute and it worked for a day or two for us, but probably would not have been useful for much longer than that.

My cat scratched it, and the material was getting all break up, when she drank water was getting socked with water, have to remove it and drying. Not recommended. I had another one made by foam like the yoga matts, tinner and that was perfect.

My son's cat had been scratching the area on his neck just below his ears. This caused the area to bleed. After cleaning his ears with medicine, we used this collar to allow his ears to heal just a little bit. The collar was flexible to allow him to eat, drink, and lay down comfortably. I like the 2 sizes that are possible for the collar to fit around his neck. UPDATE: My son's male cat, Calvin, is in the picture wearing the collar. He kept scratching behind his ear and we needed to allow some ointment from the vet.
