I mounted it on a lathe and I like the way it works, easy to adjust the spray and it does not use much airto get the amount of spray I want, I have it hooked to a 120psi air system. This will make the tooling lastlonger, which will be a big plus.

This with Kool Mist #77 (gallon is a lifetime supply and costs about twice what this tool costs) is working great for me.So, why a missing star?• Not because it is *really loud*. That is what it is.• Not because they don't mention where that little set screw goes (mounting hole you may not be using).• Maybe because the liquid valve is not a fine control needle valve, but its got a lock and I can live with that.It is because: There is a hidden failure mode. In normal use you can't see mist in the air stream. Your liquid is being evaporated or atomized so small and sparse you don't see it. The result is if it stops pulling liquid (because the valve is coarse) or you accidentally pulled the intake hose up – you will not know it. (Unless you are fortunate enough to be pulling little air bubbles in the liquid intake.)It should come with a drop counter (wide section with a smallish hole at the top) for the fluid hose so you can have an idea of the flow rate. It's three tiny pieces of clear plastic which costs $0.00 at the scale these kits are assembled.(I would have linked to one to show what I mean, but they are too cheap to be sold on Amazon, think about the bottom of an old school IV bag if you are old enough.)

It’s sturdy. I’ll give them that. But It produces so much fog I had to modify the tip and change the valve. Don’t buy it. It’s a waste of money. They contacted me and said not to write a bad review until I spoke to them first. Well I tried and they said notta. So here’s my honest opinion. I hate it and i want my money back.

Picked this up to use with my milling machine (Grizzly G0761) as needed. Took some figuring out for the liquid flow valve aspect to get it running right. I also had to replace the male QD fitting on it for one that matches up with my female QD I use on all my hoses (Dixon DCB20/DCB21 bought from Amazon). The fitting included with this doesn't match any QD's I've ever seen for sale anywhere. Came off and went right into the trash (no use for it). I always keep a decent supply of the male fittings on hand (both male and female NPT connections for what they will go onto/into).First time using it was when machining both sides of an 8" x 8" x 3/4" A36 steel plate. I'm getting the sides true before milling a pattern on one side and a recess in the other. This will be a gift for my BIL for his new gas grill.Only wish there was a bit finer control over where the nozzle gets positioned. It gets mostly where I want it to be, but being able to fine tune the position would be helpful.

There's hardly any comparison between this unit and the much cheaper variety with the plastic cardan goosenecks. Those leak air like a screen and balancing the feed and air to keep them spraying for a while where you want the spray is a touchy affair. This unit doesn't leak at all - just turn on the air, adjust the liquid feed and Bob's yer uncle. The kicker is that you can really cut back the air flow and still maintain a decent spray so that your air compressor isn't running continuously while you're spraying. It comes with a 3/8" QC air plug installed which will likely have to be changed to a 1/4" one for most home users but that was no big deal for me. The metal covered gooseneck is stiff enough that the nozzle stays where you positioned it (which doesn't affect the spray in any way) and as I said before has zero air or liquid leakage. I opened the package and was using it on my mill 30 minutes later. I seldom write reviews but I did for this mister because I can't be happier with this purchase since they addressed and corrected everything that's wrong with all the cheezy ones.

Very happy with this purchase! This mister is great quality and a real value for the money. I'm glad I spent a few extra $$ for this, it's so much better than the cheap plastic ones. All the valves work very nicely, the mist amount and airflow is easy to control. It mounted sturdy to my machine and the snake is long enough to reach around the spindle on my CNC. I did have to swap the NPT quick connect to a 1/4", it comes with a larger one. A fantastic mister overall!

Very expensive compared to other items like this. The flexible nozzle is extremely hard and frequently moves the unit from the screwed in position when you try to adjust it. The coolant mixture is hard to get right. I have to open it all the way before it will start flowing.

This is an excellent mister for milling and related machines. It performs very well. The fluid supply valve works very smoothly so it's easy to adjust the amount of liquid in the spray. The quality of the parts seems to be high as well. There are only a couple of quibbles with it. First, it came with a quick disconnect fitting for the air supply, but it was not the normal 1/4" size. I'm not sure which size it was, but I think most of us use the smaller 1/4" size fittings. Second, it would be great if the nozzle tip had an adjustable spray pattern, from narrow to wide. I could not figure out if that was adjustable, so my pardon if it is. The parts certainly seem rugged and durable enough for my use anyway. The goose neck pretty much stays put where you bend it. It's large for my little Taig mill, so I mounted it off the mill and on a riser on the bench. Overall, an excellent product.
