Why is a simple brass item a terrible product? Because it doesn't fit MY CVA Optima rifle. Sure, I can use it to load and clean the barrel, which is it's main purpose, but I already have a jag for that. I wanted a jag that was small enough to securely store under my rifle barrel, like the original it came with. We already have enough baggage to carry afield anyways as muzzleloaders, so it would be nice to have my jag stored neatly under the rifle, instead of carrying it along and attaching to the ramrod later, because the rungs under my rifle are two small to accommodate this item. First off, kudos on you CVA, for allowing that this product to be made in the United States, but wouldn't it have been easier to have made this item one standard size for all your 50 caliber products? Instead, you punish your customers, who have shelled out there hard earned money, not to mention wasting their time, in attempting to find the correct replacement for their model rifle.
