So comfortable and holds their shape well. They maintain shape after many washings. Good for running climbing.

I feel these were over priced, in the fabric and feel there was nothing special

There, saved you time. These will hold you together so you can do fun things without braces. I still tape my knees, but I can hike, snowboard, and work out comfortably and my SI joints, lumbar spine, hips, and knees all stay together and aligned. They are extreeeemely tight, and more of a thick tight than a legging. If you have janky hands, POTS, or other weird things, know that getting in and out of them might require some finesse and a little break when you finish. Or midway through. To prevent rolling, I got some suspenders designed for leggings I wear underneath. (Thanks Daddy Bezos?) If you have gastroparesis like I do, I'm sorry. It's worth it to me to do the things I love, and at this price, that's saying something.

These pants fit well, but were a little too tight on my thighs. I had to return them.

I've been running in CW-X shorts/capris/tights for years. For me they are the best compression wear available and they last for years! But they are getting more difficult to find, so I am thankful I can still order on Amazon. I am not sure the Ventilator short is really any better/cooler than the non-ventilating shorts.

I had to return them, unfortunately. I ordered the large, and the fit was fine on my legs. My waist, however, was a different story. The rise is high and very tight, so tight that I could not breathe normally during a run. I appreciate the leg muscle support, but I need a much lower rise--and oxygen--in order to have a productive workout. I also appreciated the drawstring waist, which is strangely difficult to find in running shorts, and zip pocket in the back.

I needed to start wearing compression shorts for running my dog in agility since I have a history of pulling my hamstrings and recently pulled my gluteus medius which was surprisingly painful. Ordered lots of different styles and kept these. They are designed intelligently for their purpose, wear well with no riding up and keep my ill-behaved muscles in check. I ordered the small based on the size chart but returned them for a medium which I am much happier with. The small was likely the best compression for me but just too tight to be comfy. The medium offers support and comfort. I am 120 pounds and just under 5 feet. They are pricey but well worth avoiding another muscle strain and the consequent downtime and rehab.11/10/20 edit: Five years later and this pair of compression shorts is still going strong. I love them so much I just ordered two more. I was prepared to pay the $72 I paid for my first pair but was thrilled to get them for $45 this time! When I tried the "Buy it again" option they were no longer available but then I chose "Visit the CW-X Store" and found them (same CW-X item number). I've lost 10 pounds since I wrote this review in 2015 but they still fit great. I often wear them under leggings for chilly hikes. Always hang dry and these compressions will last you....mine look brand new.

I have been running in "generic" compression shorts for a couple of years now, and decided I would try a really good pr. After some research I decided to give these a go and am very happy. They are very supportive, and they wick great - sweat evaporates quickly while I feel they keep me nice and cool. They also seem to be of superior quality, very well made. The compression is true compression, while I still feel I have plenty of freedom of movement. My one "wish" would be there there would be some sort of external pocket at the back for instance to stash a gel etc. I am planning to run the Boston Marathon in these in a couple of weeks. Very glad I purchased these!

I bought these compression shorts to run my first marathon. They were great and I felt that I kept my legs for longer throughout the race due to the strategically placed bands on the short. I scoured the internet reading all I could on shorts that would focus their stability on my IT band as I was afraid that if it gave up during the race that would be the end of my first marathon. However, after searching high and low I decided on these and I was not disappointed. The reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the mesh panels in front seem a bit fragile. I am very careful not to snag them on anything because one wrong turn and the shorts are ruined. Of course at this price, you want to be careful. I would definitely get these again. They run true to size. I wear a size 6/8 pant more on the 8 I weigh 145lb and I purchased the medium and I was very happy with the compression amount yet they were not too constricted. Good luck to all on your runs and races.
