These things have saved my bike and body from countless catastrophes. If there is a better set of guards for the money, please let me know about them!

These handguards are literally useless. All but 2 the screws stripped and bar mounts would not align. A massive waste of moneym

Probably should get yourself some of these I love them. Super easy install, they save your hands and brake levers and these are a great price.

These are the best hand guards money can buy! The fit and function is excellent, they are easy to install with minimal hand tools, and they do a great job of protecting your hands!

These are the best handguards available in my opinion. They are strong and well made. They have saved me $ a few times already by protecting my levers from being bent. Also parts are replaceable if you to happen to damage any particular part. I mounted these on my drz400s along with oversize bars and oversize bar adapters. The fit was good and needed slight adjustment to get everything lined up.

I purchased this product to be installed on my 2013 Yamaha WR450F dirt bike. Becuase I'm slow moving and only slightly mechanically inclined, it took me about 2 hours to install. Overall the product works. I haven't yet ridden with the product, but the installed product seems as if it will work "in the field". Some of my buddies have this same product on their bikes and they recommended getting ONLY the Cycra Probend versions. Well since I respect their opinion, and I ride in tight woods, I thought for just over a C-note I would try it. The installation instructions were minimal and could have been more in-depth and with pictures! Geez not everyone is a grease monkey. But I digress. I only really had two problems with installation. One was getting the left and right side mixed up. So I recommend getting a magic marker and marking "L" and "R" on both the main metal arm as well as the clamps. This will keep you from getting them switched.I also recommend installing the black plastic probend labeled cover and blue/white/red/etc. handguard plastic cover to the metal arm prior to assembling the metal arm to the bike. The other installation problem I had was having to drill a hole in the ends of my handlebar rubber grips. It may seem apparent this is what has to be done, but no where does it say explicitly this must be done. The limited instructions simply read some handlebar modification must be done. Well yeah! The clutch side only required drilling a pilot hole for the left bar end to be inserted into the left handle grip. However, the probend bar could not be inserted all the way otherwise the clutch lever and/or the clutch cable adjustment knob would bind/touch.The right side took more effort. The throttle hand grip had to be hollowed out by using a drill and drill bit used for wood holes. I ended up drilling a 1/2 inch hole in the plastic throttle grip to allow for the bar end to be inserted into the grip. Another problem I had was that I could not tighten the bolt all the way because as the bolt threads further into the grip, a split nut on the end of the bolt gradually flares out to bind against the inside of the grip. This wasn't a problem on the clutch side as the grip doesn't rotate; but on the throttle side, if you tighten the bolt all the way, the throttle grip won't rotate. So I backed the bolt back out a bit and sprayed some lithium grease into the throttle housing so the throtte would snap back after rotating it.Another bummer is that I had to dispense with (get rid of) the Yamaha foam padding that came with the bike. It covers the triple clamps. However it could not be put back onto the bike with the Cycra system installed.Due to not being able to reuse my foam padding, and the fact that there was barely clearance for my clutch lever and other knobs and bits, I gave this product 4 stars instead of five.I did bang on the installed bars and plastic as if my hands were tree limbs. I found that the clamp screws which were tightened were not not fully tightened. So I tightened them up. This happened a couple of times before the screws no longer needed more tightening. Hopefully they won't become loose on the trails, otherwise I will have to use some blue treadlock glue.
