A lot of people are saying it’s not a boom stand but it is. You just have to pull the boom arm up and out. It will work great for my cymbals. It is made a little cheap but will work.

This is the worst stand I have ever seen, it is very cheap and will not hold for regular play. In order to keep it from slipping.

Bought for relative who was gifted a ride cymbal. This stand could be set up straighter for a ride cymbal, or modified to be used for a smaller crash on an extended boom.

Using just for household, works great nothing bad to say 40 bucks! I’m not taking down and putting up a lot so…. Don’t know how it would stand up to gigging but works well for my purpose

Full disclosure, I bought 4 of these because I was on a budget and had a tight timeline. In terms of value, these are great and they arrived quickly which satisfied my needs. However, during the first performance 2 of the four stands failed. I typically play pro gear, but resorted to these in a pinch and frankly, I blame myself - I should've known better. Wanted to write this review to caution fellow pros against purchasing these. Surprisingly the elbows slip significantly, the base assembly could use some reinforcement, and without any rubber or plastic inserts the mid-section absolutely needs the memory lock to stay in position. On the plus side, I liked the plastic wingnuts on the cymbal stem a lot more than I thought I would. Swing and a miss. Lesson learned.
