I wish I could give this ZERO.I ordered the first time, it arrived broken in several places. I did an exchange and the second arrived with the glass broken on the inside and the light flickers and won't stay on. Absolute trash. I requested a refund and bought from someone else. Don't buy this.

Light is quite bright when fully charged. Seems to be a quality made product. For the price point, very nice. It is not high enough quality for nursing or med students, in my opinion. For general use at home, or in a first aid kit, I would recommend it.

This otoscope works well, bright and I can see well, but the standard hospital specula don't hook onto this scope. I use this because my hospital scopes are always broken and was hoping to just have something always on hand for easy access. I just hold the specula up against the scope to see, but it's a little annoying. Otherwise, it functions well.

Every winter my youngest daughter gets a lot of ear infections that start out with ear aches and sometimes that's all they are so a trip to the doctor and a copay for nothing. To save trips to the doctor I purchased this to check my kids ears and see if it is just inflamed or if I need to take them in. I used this and with researching the ear I was able to see what my kids needed and not waste a trip to the doctor.

First of all, this is a good unit. It feels sturdy and well-constructed. For the price, it's right on point. I'm even happy with the bag / carrying case.My only complaint is it should have come with more of the refills. My daughter has tubes in her ears and she was fighting an infection. I need to look in her ears several times per day, for several days in a row. The quantity of refills was grossly inadequate. I suppose this is a shared blame, I should have bought more up front, so that is why I'm telling you so you don't make the same mistake.Good unit but buy more refills.
