The description stated the jaw width was 1.300 but it measured 1.23 I needed 1.300 to fit over my drawbar. I had to modify it now it fits good works great.

These are exactly as described and they appear to be very well made. They look great on my Jeep.

I actually keep one of these on a trailer hitch that has the ball removed. Its so much easier for slipping on tow straps and having a positive connection that will not slip off. Lately I've been pulling down a lot of branches and this is working out perfectly.

I have an orchard and always need to pull things from dead trees, brush, Zero turn lawn mowers (Yes they get stuck).I keep one of these on my 4 wheeler with a tow strap. The tractor also has one now. I welded a special bracket for it since I would loose it otherwise. The rubber insert is ok if you had it on a city vehicle that you wanted to keep clean. That is not my situation.

Firstly, I received this pair of shackles from Amazon at no cost in exchange for an objective review.Secondly if you are going to winch, pull or yank your vehicle, or with your vehicle, please watch a couple of youtubes paying special attention to safety practices, since this is a potentially dangerous activity if you do not take specific safety precautions.Onto my review: I do own another brand's D-Ring shackles, which I keep on my Jeep Wrangler custom bumper 24/7 and which I have used for their function a number of times. These "Robbor" shackles appear in every core way to be identical. Steel alloy is properly marked for standard 4 3/4 tons. This means a working load of 9,500 per shackle and a rated "breaking point" of 41887 lbs. Paint looks to be high quality powder coat with no blemish. All measurements show this is proper standard size. Cotter pins and isolators are included. I have no way to test working load nor breaking point, but I doubt anyone reviewing here does for any shackle.I will say as one minor "con" that the non critical parts are of slightly lower value. Specifically the pair I received had slightly cheap side isolators, looking to be a harder and more brittle polyurethane, (vs rubber) and it had no plastic or rubber washers some of the competitors have. That will matter a bit if you want to ride 24/7 with the shackles on, as you may get more slightly more rattles and scratches to material. It won't matter at all if you have these stored inside the back of your vehicle for emergency use. At the time of my review this product is less expensively priced than ones of the same quality in their core parts. So if you aren't going to have your vehicle wear them all the time, and therefore don't need the rubber washers, get these.Pictured are a) one of the pair as sold. b) a setup showing a typical part time front rear tow "eye" hook that comes with most modern passenger cars (under that 2"x2" mystery door on your front and rear bumpers), the shackle, and an example tow strap.
