I have an older car and apparently some moisture is getting in somewhere. I've been seeing a lot of condensation on the inside of the windows especially the back window in the morning when I leave for work. I decided to try these to see if I could cut down on the humidity in the car.The instructions are very easy to follow and there's really not much to it, just open the package and pinch it so that you have a little more surface area on the bottom to stand the pouch upright. Since I was using it in the car I put it in a large Tupperware. I'm a bit of a crazy driver so I just right it whenever I get to my destination so that it's upright 95% of the time.So far I haven't seen any liquid in the pouch but certainly there is less humidity in the car so it's doing what it's supposed to do.This one is "fresh scent". I am one who's very sensitive the fragrances. I am not fond of the scent. Sometimes when I get in the car I need to open all the windows to clear it out. I will purchase again but next time I will look for a fragrance free option.

You cannot go wrong with these. I have these in my closets & under men sinks. They duo a great job of helping with the moisture. I like that they come in a pack of 6 & individually packaged.

We have a movie room in our house that is a sealed space with its own A/C and only gets used on the weekends. Being isolated from the rest of the house and sitting without use for days at a time, it tends to develop a musty smell. To combat this, I tried one of these DampRid Pouch Moisture Absorbers. It's working well to absorb any excess moisture and reduce the musty smell in the room while also giving it a pleasant and mild "fresh" fragrance.

I love using Damp Rid to keep my home and car fresh when I’m away. We have a small second home in Florida and when we leave for a few weeks or even months at a time, I use Damp Rid to help absorb the extra humidity that inevitably gets in, even with the air conditioning on.Our car is covered, but gets a musty smell when it sits for a long time. When I use a Damp Rid pack in it, it helps pull the humidity out of the air and also keeps it smelling fresh so we don’t have to air it out when we return. It’s SHOCKING how much water accumulates in these things!

This is the first time I’ve used a DampRid product, and I’m glad I did. The box contains six plastic pouches with indentations near the top to rip open the outer protective bag. I wouldn’t use scissors to open the bag since you could accidentally cut into the inner DampRid bag containing the pellets.Once the outer protective bag was opened, I took out the inner bag. My bag was marked with a manufacture date of 12/13/24, and I received the product in 02/2025, so it was only 2 to 3 months old.I stood one up in a walk-in closet and left it there for a day. The next day, when I walked into the closet, the first thing I noticed was a clean, fresh scent in the air. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to aromas, but I liked this one.I’m not sure how long it will take to fill up to the line with water, but I like that my closed, unvented spaces will now maintain the proper humidity.

I've used DampRid for many years as I even the slightest mildew smell makes me itchy. Sometimes I cannot even smell the mildew, but I know it's there are my skin just tingles, and not in a good way. These DampRid Pouches work well in the corners of my closets. I've put one in each closet, and it has already started to accumulate water. It has a faint aroma, but it doesn't permeate the clothes hanging in the closet. The Pouches are supposed to be spill proof, and they probably are, but I haven't really tested that as there isn't much liquid in the pouches yet. I put each pouch on one of those foil baking trays that I typically use on Thanksgiving. It makes it easier to slide the pouch in and out to check the liquid that's accumulated.I think these are a really good option particularly for basements, garages, storage units or closets, anywhere where power isn't always available or in corners where a typical dehumidifier would be touch to reach.

I've used DampRid products for years, so was kind of intrigued by this new version that uses just a bag, vs. the plastic containers. The box comes with 6 sealed bags with easy tear notches. Once you open the bag, you pull out the pouch inside - which is flat except for the absorbing pellets. You spread the bottom section open so the bag will stand - which it does fairly easily. Once that is done, you place it where it needs to go. We live in an old house with plaster walls, so we need these in just about every room all year round.Like most DampRid products, the pellets will disappear and become liquid. There is a line on each bag that is the highest the water should go. Once it reaches this line, empty the water and dispose of the bag. I am a little concerned about the bags tipping over as the pellets turn to water. If this happens, I'll come back and update my review. Having said that, they do seem to be standing firmly, so this is probably not an issue.Like the other DampRid Moisture Removers we've used, these have a smell to them - it isn't awful, kind of like laundry detergent that isn't flowery.
