I had a dripping faucet and thought I knew just enough to fix it: remove the valve stem and put a new washer on the bottom. But when I tried to loosen the bolt holding said washer, half of its badly corroded head promptly broke off. Not being equipped to drill out the bolt, I now needed a new stem. The old stem said "Union" on it, and a little digging at the Union Brass website determined the right part number. But I couldn't order online from Union, so with the part number in hand I found this Danco substitute on Amazon, and it did the job nicely.As a side note, the stem comes with a replacement seat, which I intended to install, but the old seat was too thoroughly corroded in place, so I left well enough alone. In retrospect I wish I'd bought a seat grinder instead of a seat wrench.
