These are difficult to find in hardware stores, and when I have found them they are twice as expensive. This is a quality product for a good price

Perfect replacement for worn out stems. Perfect fit. I used these in a two handle tub faucet that really needs to be replaced so it was a crap shoot to begin with. No complaints.

Replace the cold quite a few different times but didn't realize it was the hot all along. Very small drip now going to replace the cold again.

Lasted about four months. Bathroom faucet had a slight drip so I replaced what was probably the original 30 year old cartridge with this Danco stem. Several weeks ago I noticed water running out around the base of the faucet. I figured the old Sears faucet body was rotting out or something so I decided to install a new Delta faucet that cost about $82.00. As my shower faucet uses these same cartridges I held on to this "new" Danco stem for later use. That time came today when I replaced an old dripping one with this. As soon as I turned the water on it was running out the back of the handle. Mystery solved! Nothing wrong with my old bathroom faucet and I wasted $82.00 on a new one simply because this $7 Danco stem is junk. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be another manufacturer for these so I had to try my luck and order another new one today.

Have tried two of these to replace in an old Universal Rundle two handle tub faucet. The original one was leaking at the handle when the water was turned on, indicating a bad oring. I ended up ordering a whole new one figuring it was time to replace it. First one out of the box allowed the faucet to drip about 1 drip a second or a little more at times. Was thinking maybe this was a bad batch. Ordered a second one. Upon receiving before install I blew into the small end creating a sealed pressure against my lips with the detents in the off position. Some air was getting through. Upon twisting the stem barely toward open it sealed up, but when the detent was full against the stop it let air (and most likely water) through the two orifices which will also lead to a drip at the faucet. Something a new cartridge SHOULDN'T do. Ended up pulling the orings off the new one and changing them out on the old one which fixed the handle leak. Hopefully the original doesn't develop a drip at the faucet or guess I'm all out of options other than trying to buy another one of these...

These are not readily available at the big box hardware chains. This and its companion the 17242B were needed for a faucet repair in 2013. The old ones had hung in there since 1988. The cold water one was cracked. Not that in the package they were both needed squeezing together, so they seem rickety, thus 4 not 5 stars. But they did the job
