It will not crack from sun exposure or age, and it will not rust. This strong reservoir basin can support one or more water features, depending on their weights and sizes. Water features weighing under 75 pounds need no additional supports. With standard 8 inch concrete blocks beneath its center or strategically placed, this basin can support from 100 to 1000 pounds. (Concrete blocks are not included.)

Like being able to remove corner of grate to access pump for clean out purposes. 300 pound fountain was no problem with 8 x 8 cinder blocks under grate. Cinder blocks were perfect height.

I put this in my saved-for-later cart, and I received notifications almost daily that the price had gone up or down, sometimes significantly. I believe the seller is manipulating the pricing to get better placement on Amazon, or so the customer gets notifications that the price has dropped. I chose to buy it elsewhere for that reason. As to the quality of the product, it is very well made and I am pleased with the purchase.

This item does NOT measure 2 feet x 2 feet. The one I received measures 27+" x 27+". If you, as I, need a basin of a particular size this will work beautifully if you need 27+" x 27+". If you need a 24" x 24" basin this is NOT for you. Also, the grate sits well below the rim of the basin so don't think you'll 'disappear' your basin below a brick patio without some serious shim work.It sure would be nice if more people learned how to work a ruler.All in all? A big disappointment.

This basin is nice because the entire top comes off for cleaning. We had a small Aquascapes basin that only a small part opened and it was such a pain that we bought this to replace. It was only about 1/2 the cost and it is nicer.

Update:For some reason my initial Update never fully submitted. Test patch is meant to be there, in order to install needed parts for the basin. The seller was incredibly helpful and reached out to me with guarding list. I was able to return for a full refund as I decided not to use a fountain in the space anymore. Incredibly satisfied with this provider, and customer service was exceptional.I am hoping the seller sees this review, as it is outside the return window. I ordered the parts to make my fountain well in advance so that when we had a weekend to do it, we would have all the parts. when I opened the box, it was clear that the part was already broken, and they put duct tape over it. I have a cement fountain so I do not want to take the chance of taking the time to install and then have to replace down the line. Now the weekend that we were planning on getting this project done, that we had time to actually do it, we are unable to do so. Very disappointing.
