I have worked miracles with this spray on poodles / doodles with hair shorter than 3 inches. If you can, blow the coat out first and prebrush some of the matting. Wash and condition with a dematting shampoo and conditioner. Towel dry and spray the coat liberally. Let it sit for a few minutes then start trying to comb the mats out. Very time consuming and many dogs would not tolerate this type of treatment

Was recommended to us for our doodle by the groomer. Works pretty well and smells nice. Groomer recommended: Spray onto coat, rub in, let it sit for a few mins (2-5 depending on matting) and then brush out.Package leaked in transit, and has a strange, thicker texture than normal spray but otherwise I would recommend for doodle owners

This product has saved my poodles coats from being shaved! Yes, you still have to painstakingly comb out the tangles, but they usually come out! I will not be without this! What works for me is to wash my mini poodles with the de-tangling shampoo from Davis. After you rinse that out, use this De-Mat spray and comb while wet. It works!If they have a mat in their dry fur, I just soak the mat, let sit for a few minutes, then carefully comb out the mat. Wonderful product for my double curly coat poodles!

My daughters hair is real fine and knots really easy. This stuff worked amazing with the knots coming right out and not hurting her in the process. I will be ordering again.

Although my cat wouldn't let me spray this (or anything) on her---what cat will?---I was able to get a little bit on her by soaking the comb I was using. A little at a time, day by day, and eventually the mats either came out in the combing or fell out on their own. Took awhile but they are all gone now.

Love this product! As a professional groomer it really helps keep the Comfort level of the dog way down for any area I have to dematt only down side is the amount of product you have to use.
