Daystar was the first to enter the Leveling Kit market in 1995. Though there have been many companies that have entered the market since, Daystar's Leveling Kits offer many advantages that the others can not claim. In the unlikely event you experience a problem with a Daystar product, Daystar will take care of it. Daystar leveling kits are also made in the U.S.A. All Daystar leveling kits are manufactured at its plant located in Phoenix, Arizona. In-house manufacturing ensures a level of quality control that no one else can match - Daystar also has the ISO9001 certification to prove it. In addition, Daystar leveling kits also feature a top-mount, easy-install design. Enthusiasts know that most late-model vehicles have gone to a strut type of front suspension. Most of Daystar's strut applications are a top-mount design, meaning that Daystar components bolt to the top of the factory strut assembly. This type of leveling kit does not preload the factory coil spring, so factory ride quality is maintained, and installation requires only simple hand tools.

Great company and great kit but will lift more than 2.5” as another reviewer also mentions. I like the Daystar kit best because of superior hardware and the polyurethane spacer. However, I put these on my brand new 4Runner and it lifted it OVER 3 inches! 3.25 to be precise. Even after a week it was the same. The Daystar spacer is about 1/4” thicker than other spacers rated at 2.5” lift and that’s why. As you should already be aware if you’re researching this endeavor the stock upper control arms on 5th generation 4Runners can barely handle that much lift so this is only for street vehicles and very light off roading and you’ll definitely need the differential drop kit to get the CV joint angles back closer to stock.

I installed these on my 2016 4runner with KDSS. I ended up with a 3' lift. I was hoping for a 2 to 2-1/2" liftI would recommend against installing these on a 5th gen 4runner. While installing them, I confirmed that when the suspension was fully extended (topped out) the CV axle was binding and the upper control arm was contacting the coil spring. I returned them.I have heard many bad things about installing a top hat spacer kit, and now I know why. Seems like an economic way of raising up the suspension, but it has repercussions that will cost more later when the CV axle wears out, not to mention other suspension components.I ended up buying some OME 2883 springs and installing them on the stock struts. Rides a tad firmer and actually matches up the stock rear suspension. I got 2" of lift just like I wanted. Top out is the same since I am using the stock struts. No CV axle binding.
